Something to be concerned about? Or no? Is this little white thing a root coming out? It’s quite a ways above the top of the soil. No pests that I’ve seen anywhere ever so I’m not thinking it’s a bug… It appears there’s yet another new leaf about to start growing from this stem as well, and you can start to see through the thin stem covering (idk what it’s called haha), and that’s why I am thinking it’s a root. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #GreenPrayerPlant

Finally seeing the dance!🤗 My newish #GreenPrayerPlant finally is opening in the morning and closing in the evening. Or it’s at least the first time I’ve noticed it😅 My previous prayer plant (it died a few years back after getting knocked off the counter and crashing to the floor. It was a very sad day…) would do the opposite: open at night and close in the morning. 😂🤔 Who knows! Also another #FreshLeafFriday! It has four new leaves it working on since I’ve gotten it🥹 they’re in the thick of the plant so I can’t really get good pics of it right now. Prayer plant in trouble? Hello, I’m wondering what is wrong with my green prayer plant. It does not seem to be growing or producing new leaves. The stems seem like they can’t hold up. Should I try to straighten up the prayer plant using an anchor? I have been spritzing at least daily and using a humidifier. So far this poor plant has struggled in my house. First the cats attacked it then it just got sad. I’m trying to figure out what to do for it. On the bright side it seems to be trying to push up new growth.

I love these. They grow so much and I love their prayer activity but they’re also pest magnets (spider mites 😖) so you gotta keep an eye out for that. And they’re sensitive to tap water and will likely brown if you use tap. May need distilled or filtered water.

Beautiful but a bit of a pain in the ass. Very sensitive to over and under watering and needs humidity to prevent browning and curling of leaves.
