How to fertilize Fishbone Cactus

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Fishbone Cactus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Weird White Growths on My Zig-Zag Cactus—What Gives? I recently got my first zig-zag cactus, and it’s been chillin’ in my office. But I just noticed these weird white growths on the stems, and I’m stumped. At first, I panicked and thought mealybugs (especially since I’m currently dealing with a mealybug situation on my prayer plant in the bathroom—send help), BUT these don’t seem like that. No cottony texture, no sticky residue, and no bugs crawling around. So now I’m wondering: • Aerial roots doing their thing? • Mineral buildup from watering? • Or… scale? (Never had scale before, and I’m hoping this isn’t my first time.)

I ordered this guy on Etsy (probably won’t take the chance again) and he showed up like this with a chunk missing. Is there anything wrong with it? It’s pretty sad looking. #FishboneCactus #NewPlants

Why is my fishbone cactus wrinkly? I water it regularly in well draining soil. The soil is currently moist so I don't think it is due to underwatering. I also recently checked for root rot and there didn't seem to be any. #FishboneCactus

#FishboneCactus I bought this cactus from a local nursery that had an end of season sale on houseplants. This poor guy was a rescue. He was dry and wrinkled but after a repot and some new soil he’s plumped right up. There was a shoot coming out the soil when I repotted him that I thought was a new shoot but now I’m not sure. The leaves are not succulent thick but it’s kinda wavy so I’m not sure if I should pull it. Can anyone tell me if this is a fishbone pup?

What is going on with my Oscar? I don’t know what’s going on, but I’ve just seen a declining health of my fishbone cactus and they just looked thin and sad and now there’s a yellowish almost see-through at the base of one of Oscar stocks. What is going on? #help #FishboneCactus

I’ve got brown tips appearing on my fishbone. I’ve only watered once since getting it and it was dry when I did. Any ideas? #FishboneCactus

Just bought fish hook along with 2 other plants from a private party. I do have the 3 plants isolated for now. I’m very worried that the 3 of them are infected with some sort of bug. #FishboneCactus
