How to care for Common Sunflower
Common Sunflower needs 0.5 cups of water every 9 when it doesn’t get direct sunlight and is potted in a 5" pot located in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Common Sunflower may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Common Sunflower after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.
What other plant parents say
Beautiful, sunny, and immediately brighten up a garden.
However if you have squirrels in your area - these will also immediately serve as a tasty snack for them the day they are put outside.
If you plant alongside something squirrels hate however - like Geraniums or Hyacinths - they’ll keep them from becoming lunch!
I gave it 3 stars because it was a few feet tall and still in a pot that I think was too small for it.
It’s better for people who live in warmer weather.
I’d also recommend growing it outside so it can take up the space it needs and get a lot of sunlight.
