How to fertilize Asparagus umbellatus
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Asparagus umbellatus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Yellowing and pale on one side #AsparagusFern Hello, I noticed this beauty started becoming paler on one side and yellowing at the bottom and on some tips. I’ve also noticed some white soft balls at the base of some shoots. Is that something to worry about? I mist it every morning and evening It sits on a north facing window sill I thought it was a bit dry so I watered it with rain water and added stones and water at the bottom of the pot I also moved it to my south facing bedroom away from the window in case it’s light that’s an issue Am I doing the right things?

Hey Greggers! Had to share this pic although it’s belated. I told my students I wanted to be a plant for Halloween, but I wasn’t feeling any of the costumes. They suggested I go as a plant mama. Yesssss! And the best part is that I got to carry Bitsy around all day. I also found some family 🤣 #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #GregGang #Greggers

Yellowing stems- Ming fern #MingFern I purchased my ming fern 2.5 months ago in the pot that it’s in-which has a draining hole- and I haven’t repotted it. I’ve noticed the dirt is packed in there TIGHT. The stems have been turning yellow and brown. Some of the leaves close to the stem and middle are turning yellow. It’s already getting pretty low light and I am going to try to water it less. My question is, should I repot it with better draining soil or will that cause more damage to it? It has plenty of room in the pot. To describe the soil- I can’t really stick my finger in to check moisture and when I put my finger in the draining hole in the bottom, no soil comes out. Very different from my other plants. Swap out soil or other solution? Thank you!
