Aloe Vera- How to make it happy?

The story of my Aloe Vera: I’ve had this aloe for years. Last year when I started watering it frequently (weekly-ish) it started going down hill. Gradually I have been getting the watering schedule down to 1xs per month or so, and my aloe is looking better. I still need to repot it into a terra cotta pot. How cold of a temp will aloe vera tolerate if I put it back outside? I didn't see anything in the app that said.

Hi everyone, I hope you are well. I'll just like to introduce you all to my Aloe Vera plant named Mama Aloe or "Big Mama" as I like to call her. She really does live up to that name lol and I'm so happy for all the pups she's given and is currently giving me. Currently I'm treating her for some severe root rot which she got due to being over-watered by our apartment grounds keeper, but lesson learned and now I get to learn how to save her. She's got her pups visible in the last pic which are just tiny stubs but absolutely adorable. Too much water or too much sun

The research I found has not been very helpful. Hopefully, someone can tell me what these black spots are? The new growth looks beautiful and green, but now I see black spots are starting to form on those also. #aloevera
