How much water do you give it?

When should a golden Barrel Cactus be repotted

Inherited a golden barrel, need advice to nurse it to health. Was in a 18cm pot, it took up entire width and was root bound. Ive repotted it in a 40cm pot using succulent mix. No sign of root rot or soft spots I can see but bottom half appears yellow.

So walmart had glues a floor to the top of my cactus and I didn't like it so I pulled if off and these it what it looks like do u think it'll be ok or will it die?and down below is what it did when I pulled it off

This plant was so cute when my teen daughter picked it out almost a year ago. It was gnawed on pretty aggressively by our crazy female cat about a month ago. Is there hope?? 😭🌵

Should I take him out of the plastic container he came in or should I leave him in there? And if I do take him out what kind of gloves should I use? 😅😅😅

How do I get it to bloom. I got it when it was about baseball size. I got it 8 years ago and now it's about 10" in diameter.
