Best way to propagate?

I know this is not string of turtles but Greg won’t let me post it without a name. Can someone identify it?

Curious to see what root rot looks like? My poor Hoya! The astute viewer will see that there’s healthy new roots growing on the 2nd cutting and the 4th has a chonky little mealy bug 🫣 I’ve chopped all rotten roots off and started this back again in fresh LECA (2nd pic).
