Hey #GregGang, happy Saturday! It's time for another #GregGivesBackGiveaway! 📣 I don't know about you, but I'm itchy. Like, itchy all over and I am trying so hard not to scratch but I also know it's going to happen so maybe I should just give in now? Itching to buy a new plant that is.  Something about the time change and longer days makes my brain do three things: plan the garden, think about playing rugby again, and want to buy all the houseplants.  I have the garden planned, seeds purchased, and am basically waiting until the soil can be worked at this point.  I think I talked myself out of getting back on the pitch for at least another season (I'll have to talk myself out of it again in th fall).  Most importantly, I am repotting, washing leaves, pruning, etc to try and show myself I have enough plants to take care of and don't need more. BUT we all have that one plant. The plant that we have given up trying to talk ourselves out of and know we will just buy. For me, it is any hoya or ficus I don't have yet. I know that if I walk into a nursery, greenhouse or store and they have one that is not in my collection it will be coming home with me.  SO we want to know, what is your "one plant." The plant you have to have every varietal of, or the plant you have been searching for, or the plant that you know you give into every time, etc? Hi, #Greggers 🌿 I want to shoutout my bestie Rachael! You all may know her as @theloveofplants 💖 Those who know her, know she is one of the kindest humans alive😇 Case in point: she sent me #PlantMail, from my very favorite nursery! 📦🤗 I was elated upon opening the box—She got me two of my #wishlistplant—an #AlocasiaDragonScale and a variegated #StrawberryBegonia 😍🍓♥️🥰 They are both SO beautiful, the pictures don’t even do them justice. The pink underside of the Strawberry begonia leaves, the beautiful colors on both plants, the gorgeous texture of their leaves—can you tell I’m in love? 😍🪴 I am so blessed to have met her (and honestly, all of you! I love this community 😘). Gotta give Rachael her flowers 💐—both figuratively and literally! I thought she deserved a public shoutout 😊 Thank you again, girl! Converged Plant Haul!! I just happened to have some #plantmail show up right around the time I found a few #wishlist plants at a big box store on clearance! AND…You know you’ve got it good, when your sister’s husband keeps an eye out for plants! I got a call at 6:30 am a day ago from my sis asking if I wanted some clearance plants her hubby spotted at the grocery store. (Yes, automatically yes!) I have already started to repot some as the clearance plants were sopping wet. My #PlantMail from #mountaincrestgardens came! Wow. I’m super impressed with how healthy everything is! And how well it was all packed. I love that the larger ones were put in separate paper bags. Everything is beautiful and I even got a couple of my #wishlistplant (I’ve been dying for a Bishop’s Cap and variegated ghost plant 🥳). I’m very pleased with everything, especially the prices! I’m on a budget and I really feel like I got bang for my buck, as they say. Anyway here are my new beauties. Got some little #wishlistplant from #plantproper! I had to take advantage of that Labor Day sale! Got a Philo Ring of Fire, a Paraiso Verde, a gorgeous Hoya Burtoniae, and a variegated Syngonium 😍 all for less than $35! And since #BennyTheTreeFrog is asleep right now, here is his friend #BonnieTheTreeFrog who I discovered this week lives in the begonias on my deck! She also has a tiny baby that is smaller than a US quarter (I can’t think of anything universally descriptive because I’m still half asleep). I will post baby frog pics in the comments 🐸 Anyway so excited to get these beauties for such a steal! I’m seriously overjoyed and obsessed with my #PinkPrincessPhilodendron, Hera🩷🩷. I got this in a growers choice set of 4 for $25. The #ppp was super high on my wishlist so I’ve been pricing it and a 2in starter plant was running $50! So I feel super lucky to have gotten this at such a deal. I’M SO EXCITED! 🤗🤗🤗 I finally got one of the plants I’ve been longing for since I started my houseplant collection! An Aglaonema pictum tricolor 😍 Of course, I can’t afford a mature one, but this wonderful nursery has babies grown by tissue culture in 4” pots for only $24.99! So now I have one of my dream plants and I get to nurture it and watch it grow into a big, lush, gorgeous plant 🪴 without spending a ton of money 🤗 All this to say if you want a recommendation for a wonderful nursery, this is the one!
