In pure disbelief… The Alocasia frydek has ALWAYS been a dream plant of mine, and I have somehow managed to get not one but TWO variegated frydeks! My life feels complete 🥹 My pretty pink variegated Alocasia amazonica however has turned her toes up this morning… rip. She was pretty frail from the start so didn’t expect a thriving luscious adult plant from the start in all fairness, but so sad she’s given up :(( #AlocasiaAddicts #Alocasia #AlocasiaFrydek #VariegatedAlocasia #VariegatedAlocasiaFrydek

So my alocasia frydek variegated is finally recovering. I think it was the shock of moving to a new place. We started with 5 leaves and then the leaves started to get droopy (picture 2) and those 4 leaves are gone leaving me with only one healthy leaf (Picture 3), but that leaf is putting out some new growth, and I am so excited about it!!! I decided to leave one of the last leaves on the plant as she still has some green (picture 5) and the plant can still absorb nutrients from there, but over all the leaf is unrepaireable and soon will be chopped of as the other ones. Hey everyone! Hope everyone’s been doing well I’ve been so busy moving I haven’t had much time to check into Greg lately! Wishlist plants on the way🌿 Last night I put an order in for a Variegated Gloriosum & an Alocasia Odora Aurea Variegata💚 Both growers choice so I’m not sure exactly what they’ll look like yet, but still super excited.
