I AM GREIVING, but the Greg community is truly outstanding! ❤️‍🩹❣️ Yesterday my world broke down, my plants were infested with THRIPS, I wouldn’t have known had it not been for the awesome people on here helping me through this as I had a complete mental breakdown, I lost about 15 plants yesterday, either to far gone, not worth putting into treatment or because of straight up DEATH. PLANTS ARE NOW IN THE ICU , updates to come. ***Also Garfield is now aswell in the ICU I will update everyone how he’s doing, his family is really concerned for him especially Jon.*** I had some awesome support from the folks on here and I can’t thank this community enough for the all help I’ve had, updates to come, as of now I have one tradescantia I think is safe, and also I have some Hoya cuttings that were with the tradescantia that I think might be safe, I will keep treating them with the insecticidal soap for now. Tomorrow I’m getting the end-all spray I’m hoping with this stuff and consistent use am and pm I can possibly save the remaining of my children. 😭❤️‍🩹😞 Big thank you for the help , shout out to @elisenavidad and @stephonicle ✨ without both you’re help I probably wouldn’t have noticed until it was WAY TO LATE. I have some experience with plants but never had much experience with thrips myself as an adult! New worst enemy. #thrips #thripsbegone #louisxvioasis #PestControl #plantICU #TradescantiaNanouk #Hoya #garfield UPDATE: the plant that infested my oasis was bought off market place on Facebook by a seller I thought I could trust I bought multiple syngoniums from them and they had my contact information, then did realize recently they had pest and didn’t contact me or inform me until I asked about it because the worst plant came from them. Please please please, Isolate your plants before integrating into your collection I can’t stress this enough it was my biggest mistake in this situation, even if you think you are clear always treat and isolate until you are CERTAIN.

I got this little hanger with Tradescantia Nanouk, Wire Vine and an Echeveria. I just watered it yesterday as soil was VERY dry. When should I repot these into their own containers? I’m soooo new to this!

Hello, I just bought this today and as you can see, it’s root bound. Should I cut them off when I repot? It is very healthy looking, but the soil is really moist. Got it at Walmart and it looked like they had just gotten them in.

My plant has grown so much since October. She is grown out and chilled in the greenhouse for the winter. I Pruned her because she was getting too big. She filled 5 little pots. Any suggestions of what I could do with the extra plants? I don’t know if I have enough room for five more lol. He's so viney, but I do like the bushy ones I've seen, do I just have a different variety or is there something else I could do? Is he ok like this? Would he appreciate the space to hang out or are they ok bunched up? Idk what I'm doing except my best :D

Just before/after of my tradescantia (tbh I don't think it's nanouk). I bought it in the end of August and cut it in October to make a pot for mom. So here some facts and #tips about tradescantia's cut: 1) Cut the hale stem closer to leaf. 2) It's better to have two or three nodes that you put in a soil (better four). Just take off two or three leaves from a cutted stem (it's better to cut a long one). You can also make a small stems, just cut a long one in pieces with one leaf between nodes. 3) You can put cutted stems in water to wait for roots, but it's better to put them in soil out of hand. Tradescantias are really unpretentious plants. 4) Put the pot with stems into the warm light place (you can use growing light as well). 5) First time (about a week or two) leaves on stems will be soft - don't be afraid and give them some time, believe me, everything is ok. 6) On the third week you can notice that leaves become harder (not all of them, but that's ok), it means that your stems start to root. On the four-five weeks you can notice new sprouts. 7) Don't forget to water your stems as the soil is almost dry! (About once a week, two times a week in summer). Good luck, you can make it!
