I havenāt see a single sign of thrips damage, but I have seen some stress on my plants that were in high humidity isolation. Now we just have to give them time and return to regular watering and hope everyone bounces back nicely! I still vow by the nematodes, by the time I release the beneficial bugs as a last insurance they had already done the hard work. Itās so nice to be able to let my babies breathe again and not have to stair at plastic bags all over the place, BUT the two months of hard work and dedication to the system has WORKED! ššŗš¼ #thrips #thripsapocolyspe #louisxvioasis 2 3 Comments @Louisxvi Ā· 2M The bags are gone and we have survived the thrips apocalypse! Iām almost at my 60 day mark and I havenāt seen a single bug or any new damage. š„² now I am doing a round of beneficials inside my greenhouses as a last precaution. It was a long 6 weeks of constant isolation and cleaning and reapplying nematodes and keeping plants in extreme high humidity. Some how I havenāt lost any plants to rott from isolation. Iām impressed , but my biggest lesson learned here is, do not rush the process with pest, it takes time but with consistency it is possible to win the war. šøšŗš¼š #thrips #thripsapocolyspe #louisxvioasis 1 1 Comments @Louisxvi Ā· 2M Update on the Thrips Apocalypse. We are about 3 days away from hitting the one month mark for the second wave of the thrips apocalypse. I want to give feed back on the nematodes. I have to say they must be extremely effective because I havenāt seen a single sign of new damage on any leaves and I havenāt seen any live adults or larva in two weeks. I have been cleaning my plant every 3 days and all of them with the exception of a few have been bagged for high humidity. First two weeks was completly bagged sealed and I have now moved to poking air holes for ventilation. I have barely watered the plants during time time Iāve been misting the soil on top to keep nematodes moist and effective. Once nematodes have no more food they slowly die off so I just reapplied yesterday on all my bigger plants. I will say having green houses and bagging plants individually might not be the esthetic we hope for but I only have another 30 days to go and itās been extremely helpful to prevent spread or reinfection to other plants. At the end of the next 30 days I will be receiving greenlace wing larva ( EWWWWW I KNOW BUT HEAR ME OUT ), and releasing them inside my greenhouses. These would never be able to grow into adults and die off once they donāt have anymore food source as well, itās going to be a one time application at the end of there 30 days to ensure I or the nematodes havenāt missed a thing. POSSIBLY PREVENTATIVE IM JUST REALLY GROSSED OUT BY BUGS. š I continue to deep clean my house on a daily basis. I also have nematode traps. I made small soil pots with no plants but nematodes mixed in so if anything is missed outside the green houses they might travel upon my trap and be eaten by nematodes. I wouldnāt wish this upon my worst enemy. #louisxvioasis #thrips #thripsapocolyspe #nematodes 1 0 Comments @Louisxvi Ā· 3M What would us plant moms do without our hubbies⦠lol After living through the thrip apocalypse TWICE.
