I received plant mail yesterday from The Green Escape, a plant shop on Etsy I've been watching for a year, courtesy of @BabeVila, my great and amazing friend. She got me a cute lemon lime philodendron and a stunning billietiae that I hope grows like her own someday! Shannon, you always brighten my day, and your kindness is absolutely incredible. Opie- *yawns in cat* is it #freshleaffriday yet? Close, maybe #thankfulthursday 🤔 Today I finally used the googley eyes from @Boymom-plantmom box-o-goodies! Super thankful to have these awesome eyes on hand. Jazzed up a plain planter in no time! Super thankful I always come across a free plant, this Heartleaf Philodendron looked super sad when I was given her, now look at those new leafers! Before picture, just 2 (ish) sad leaves.. #SaturdaySwaps have arrived! I got 2 awesome boxes!!! From @RealSimpleMama and @Propa 😍😍 These totally made my day so much better. Spent a long morning at Children’s Hospital with my son(he’s all good 😊 ) so coming home and pacing around the house until the mailman came was silly but good stress relief. I even attempted to finally re pot my big monstera!! What a task!! It was hot here today in PA but I quickly got both boxes inside and all the cuttings into water until my fluval stratum gets here. I am so thrilled and thankful to these ladies. They sent me such great cuttings!!! Hey y'all! I wanted to show off my new succulent! It's a Huernia Zebrina. Also known as a Lifesaver Plant and a Carrion Flower (since it blooms a beautiful, yet smelly flower in the Summer). It's a meaningful plant because mine and my husband's last name is Carrion haha. Also, my dad got me this plant, so it's even more special. I saw the plant shop near his job posted on their Instagram that they received a fresh shipment. I asked him if he wouldn't mind snagging me one since he's in the area, and he did! He even surprised me with the pot! It's too cute. Unfortunately, however, it does NOT have a drainage hole. And my dad, unaware of these things of course, let the shop repot the plant directly into the pot. I really don't want to repot him again since he was just repotted yesterday (I don't want to traumatize him), plus the pot is super adorable. Do you guys have any tips on watering this little fella without a drainage hole? I really want him to thrive since he's so special, and I would love to see him bloom in the Summer! The pot feels like clay or terracotta. It doesn't feel or look coated or glazed. Additionally, a little piece had fallen off the plant and my dad handed me the little piece. It had a healthy root attached, so I potted him in his own teeny tiny terracotta pot! My dad said that all of the Lifesaver Plants at that shop were falling apart, and that he managed to get the best one. I'm so thankful for my dad and for this new little plant. And I'm so thankful for this community for allowing me to show off new plant babies all the time and for offering helpful and thoughtful advice 💚 Sorry for the long post. My new plant babies 💜 @JCPlantProper my package just showed up!!! Thank you!!!!! I’m so excited. The snake is temporarily in this pot until the special 1 I ordered for it comes. 😁. I’m so excited about the Krimson Queen but also scared because I have to read up on it. I don’t know anything 😬.
