Oh no!!! 🫢😭😭😭😭 .....SOOOO.. I've been playing in my plant room and of course I've added a whole bunch of new plants. For the past week I've been coming out of their itchy and itchy and itchy! I even mentioned it to my hubby. I said I must not have good hygiene, I keep forgetting to wash my hands when I come out.🫢🫢🫢🫢🫣🫣🫣🫣 ( no judgement zone 🤣🤣🤣) well apparently it's the Syngoniums!!! I went through every single plant profile to figure out what it could be and sure enough these little guys can irritate your skin. Funny I've never heard anyone else complain about this. Of course it would be me ha ha so now I guess I'm stuck wearing gloves when I go in and play with my plants.🤷🏻‍♀️😭😭😭😭 I don't wanna wear gloves🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 anyone else have this problem? I missed the water day by a day and was gone for an overnight and came back to a wilted angel flower. Is that normal...he was also on the counter under a vent...for a day. Not sure if that was it.

Small plant update, as it's been a while. Plants doing nicely, my little cryptocoryne is doing nicely. Most older leaves died off but the newer ones are doing nicely. Which I expected. I may have 3 animals in this terrarium, but I have seen them like 5 times over last few weeks. Amazing. Im obsessed with my syngonium red arrow, these leaves are so yummy. Definetly will go into my big terrarium, it will add some nice contrast. The centipedes living in it's soil are alive, which I'm happy about, I didn't see them in a while. Once I get to repotting I'll most likely get these little guys their own container, cuz I appreciate my natural fungus gnat larva destroyers. This little guy I suspect is an adult, so it probably it can live off of springtails. Which I have like a million of. So thats amazing. And my frydek variegata, this guy is my last remaining one, the other dropped all of its leaves, we know why. Why are they like that. At least this one knows chlorophyll is a necessity. I may be bashing this plant about not getting what it needs to live, but honestly, real. #alocasiaaddicts #syngonium #cryptocoryne

#thewateringhole it's been almost 3 weeks since she arrived and while some of the initial giddiness has faded, I'm still so head over heels for my #syngoniummilkconfetti . It's very hard to be patient while all the new leaves settle in and fill out, but what a difference already 🥰 I've been keeping that and the #philodendron rotating every hour ish on the counter in the morning sun, so far no burns. The lil philo is putting out new leaves as well, and two just finished unfurling. No more variegations yet, but the first one may have been a fluke anyway lol. The shipping left Mentira with some leaves that look like butterfly wings, the shoot is on overdrive and I'll stop before I look up to see I've spent 4 hours talking about a houseplant 🥴 #plantsmakepeoplehappy #planttherapy #syngonium #syngoniumsquad #newgrowth #happyplants

My arrowhead vine was growing nicely then it just started dying. I moved it once but in the same vicinity. Didn’t think that would hurt him.

Well. I kept killing them 🫠 But life finally settled into a manageable rhythm, my inherited/rescued plants started to thrive, and I decided it was time to take the plunge. My kitchen window is paradise for tropicals, the hot water will absolutely scald and the glass is dirty enough to count as filtered sunlight 😂😂 The colors on her are amazing and now I'm eyeing polka dot plants on black Friday >.> I'm so in love. The unique variegations are just plain fun to look at while I'm petting her and trying to encourage the leaves out. She came pretty scrunched (and I touch all my plants, it helps with the dust plus I just like it) but is growing out fast. Also pictured is this lovely #philodendron that finally pushed me to hit Confirm at #gregplantshop because clearly he needed a hanging friend and I'm not a *monster*. Some poster-child variegations and some awesome weird Because I Can colors. Lord give me strength, for I have not room for more plants 😭😭

Hey plant lovers! I’ve been searching for the alocasia Amazonia ‘bambino’ but could not find a legitimate seller! So, I went to perch (my favorite store) and saw a alocasia Polly which are VERY close to bambino! Perch never disappoints me. Here are some of the things I saw as well and wanted! For 72 dollars I saw a queen anthurium (A. Waroquenum) that was HUGE! I would have impulsively bought it ONLY if I didn’t know the problems with this plant (humidity, temp, etc.) which I do not have the perfect conditions. Saw a ROF philo and actually a couple, which they are cool! I love Jess’s (perches owner) pothos wall which never disappoints, and saw a cebu blue pothos but since it’s that silvery blue color that so many of my plants have I didnt buy. Ficus selection today was good, saw tineke Audrey and fiddle leaf which was cool! I saw a cool A. Magnificum x silver blush in the humidity box which was AWESOME but was 50 dollars ☠️ in there saw a anthurium clarinervium which was 40 dollars not bad and a monstera Thai con which was 50, so not that bad. Saw a lot of singonuims and cathlea! I saw painted lady philodendron and tons more! Got all but one of my new birthday plants potted up in their new homes yesterday! 🪴 I also haven’t showed you guys my project I have been working on with my shells I brought back from the beach recently. I put them on two of my pots & a plant stand using super glue. I really like how they came out & it was fun to fit them together like a puzzle! I decided to put my Gasteraloe ‘D Tiga’ in one & my Haworthia Angustifolia in the other. I also potted my pink Syngonium in a pot with a watering tray so it evenly waters it, & also let it spend some time next to the humidifier today. I love the colors! 🌸 Lastly, I repotted my Speckled Hoya Carnosa & my Black Cardinal Philodendron.
