I have been blessed with plants this year! Yesterday (June 13) was my birthday, and my bestie @theloveofplants sent me TWO big boxes of plants! One was delivered yesterday and one is still en route. Pics 2-5 are only a few of the beauties she gave me, and omg. I’m so grateful and happy to have these lovelies! I can’t even pick a favorite, and I can’t believe I still have another box of plant goodness to look forward to! HEARTBROKEN!!!!! My beloved string of hearts almost 5 ft long fell off her shelf time last week. Fist me just tangled a lot. I lost tons of leaves. The second time, she fell upside down and the pot severed all the vines. I wasn't able to save many stands that are now in water. Remaining in the pot were some tubers that have rooted, and one is actually sprouting. 911!!! I’m hoping to get some help, lol. I’m leaving tomorrow to go to the beach for a few days & was watering, checking for critters😒 and doing some general maintenance on my babes.. I’ve had this #StringOfButtons for about 2 years.. it outgrew the 1st pot pretty quickly & then I moved it to a terracotta just a little bigger & it has been thriving… it’s been a while since I took it out to f the window to look at it really good & I wish I would have done it sooner! This is my fav succulent & I 𝑵𝑬𝑬𝑫 to save it😭 This is all from one plant. The “root balls” are literally smaller than a dime! #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove I received Etsy (RootedInParadise) plant mail. Welcome home sweet succulents. I have them in the newbie zone. The variegated SoP is so colorful. Wondering how I can keep its pink hues. The Coty Pendens is perhaps one of my favorite succs (2nd try at it). I was a bit reluctant to order online the Baby Necklace Succ, in fear it wouldn’t make the delivery, however he arrived securely intact. String of 🍉 is plump. So Greg is insistent that this is a string of dolphins but I’ve checked thoroughly and there are no fins in here. Additionally, maybe it’s the name and lack of true identity, but Flippa is losing leaves and drooping. Her lower stems are woody if that would help with id-ing her. Current condition is cover photo. My string of pearls is producing flowers😍😍 I already killed two adult plants, with the second string of pearls i chopped off some savable strings. Now i am slowly filling out this tiny pot. I was talking to Jon on the phone for well over an hour yesterday and he enlightened me on one thing I wanted and thought I needed to share with everyone. #ljplantnursery The best time of day to repot your plants is of the evening. I honestly didn’t know that. Me beingg the curious person I am I had to find out why. Some of you may already know this. THIS ONE WE ALL PRETTY MUCH KNOW: Spring is ideal for repotting a houseplant. Plants often go dormant in the winter and begin growing again as daylight hours increase in the spring. Repotting gives them the room they need to grow. But that doesn’t mean you have to wait for spring. If a plant is showing signs of stress or poor health, go ahead and repot any time of year. THIS I DIDN’T KNOW: Try to repot in the evening if possible. “At night, in the absence of bright sunlight, the plant’s metabolism slows down, so it has a chance to recover from repotting stress,”. #whentorepotaplant
