The weekend is sadly coming to an end.. 😭 but I will say I had a good weekend and stayed pretty busy 👏🏻 I also did lots of plant chores & related activities. Got new pots & much needed dirt, I got to replant more than a few plants that were due for repots, & the rain took care of my watering for the next week or so. Here are some pics from my northwest window, which I call my haworthia window. It holds all of my haworthia & similar plants like my alworthia, gasteraloe hybrids, & aloes even an Adromischus. Generally I just feel like haworthia are so underrated as far as an easy plant/easy succulent. There are so many different types, and they can vary so much from plant to plant. Achilles (Star Cactus) got a new home This one I did a little different I didn't want to use so much soil since really these don't need to be so deep in soil I used the 3" cup seen below, inverted it, so the mouth would be facing down in the planter I filled the planter around, the cup, placed the plant and continued filling it with soil till she was firm and steady I removed a few pups and re-potted those to give away but some I kept because I think they look cute and gives it character What do y'all think? #starcactus #cactusclique #cactus #cacti #cacticollect #propagationstation #succulentlove

Need help planty peeps! Brought this guy in for the winter after hosing him down and spraying with insecticidale spray. He looked normal when I brought him in but now has these spots all over him. Bacterial? Fungal? And what to do? #Cactus

A day late for #WhatTheSuccWednesday but never too late to show some stinky beauty 😂❤️ My son came over to take me out for my birthday and I just HAD TO 😂😂🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️! He’s is a very high functioning autistic which is probably why he smelled it like 5 times before figuring out it smells like garbage juice 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I did however get a few “first smell” pics #boymomplantmom

Seedwater (star cactus) & CactusPoint (lifesaver cactus)-- two plants my 4 year old daughter picked out to take care of today. She named them as well. Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a good Easter & weekend! Here are some pictures from recently. (With updates) 1&2- Star Cactus- forming a bloomstalk, (1) it bloomed last year with 2 flowers. They are a cream/pink color. Can’t wait to see it this year, I recently have been keeping it outside in indirect sun. it’s still too much light, so the color is a lil darker then normal. I’m going to move it back inside in my southern window. 3. Calico Kitten Crassula- repotted and watered it. Has lots of new growth. They tend to be fast growers so I’m hoping this one will be the same. I absolutely love the colors! 4. Sedeveria ‘Spring Jade’- repotted this one this weekend. I’ve had it outside, but only keep it in full sun in the morning till about 10-11am, I then move it to shade, or filtered lighting (southern window) Inside. This one is super pretty & healthy so im gonna make sure it stays happy! 🌿🤗 5. Sedeveria ‘Silver frost’🪴 - I also recently moved this one outside, so it’s been in full sun. It was etoliating inside, so I’m hoping that will get better within the next week in better lighting. SIDE NOTE- I had a hard time identifying this when i first got it, I’ve had it under several things, however I recently saw Sedeveria ‘Silver frost’ and felt it was a better fit. This plant isn’t on Greg, I tried to add it but it wouldn’t allow me. more pics from today 🌱 Star cactus- two new (slow growing) leaves in the middle, they have slowly been getting taller, there is even a new 3rd leaf under the two but you can’t see it just yet. 🪴 Haworthia ‘savanna’- she wasn’t loving it too much under my grow lights (haworthia prefer less light) so I moved her to the top shelf, with no grow light, & it seems to be liking it better. Lifesaver cactus- after the bloom, she started going down hill, (my own fault) because of a lack of water for too long. It’s doing a little better now, & has put some new growth out. 🌱 Dancing bones cactus- prickles is pretty chill, but tends to like a bit more water these days. She does have some new growth but I’m still learning his habits. 👀 Calico kitten crassula- new growth, & cool colors 🌈 I love the leaf shape it’s like little hearts 💕 and the colors are stunning also. #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #NewGrowth #GrowLights #GrowingSuccs #HappyPlants #Haworthia #StarCactus #Crassula #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #LifesaverCactus #Succulents #DancingBones

after a long day of crying, frustration and a mental breakdown due to fungal knat issues, I tried to take time to enjoy the good things that are happening in my oasis. My succulents are struggling right now, I’ve lost a couple, due to many different issues (I assume) that have mostly been caused by fungus knat larvae, and fungal infections. I’m upset, and at a loss of where to start. I have so many plants, and it’s very crucial to treat them all so the pests don’t migrate to other plants. I got overwhelmed almost immediately. I’m going to have to repot several plants, and toss a few that don’t have a chance. Life in general has caused me to not be on top of things so it caused more issues then if I would have caught it before it got bad. I’ve started treating them, but I’m not even close to being done. It’s upsetting because this is something I do to relieve stress.. and it went from 0 to 100 really quick. But I’ve made a commitment to these plants, and I intend on trying to save as many as I can. However there was some good things that I can be grateful for! My pickle plant is putting out babies (pic 3-4), & also the adult ones have new growth as well. (Pic 1/2) - also new growth on my star cactus! My Demigorgon bloomed again this morning!!!! This is the biggest stinkiest flower yet! I got a little choked up and gagged out by the rotting meat smell this time just went I brought it inside for pics. Normally you have to put your nose up to it to smell it. But not this big powerful flower. The flys are going to be checking that flower out today for sure. I didn’t think I would like this plant so much. Even being stinky I don’t really mind because it’s outside anyway so I don’t ever have to really smell it unless I want to.
