Hi #GregGang! Just wanted to share with you something that put a smile on my face today. My 80 year old grandmother has been struggling recently due to her dementia progressing. But somehow, even though she doesn’t remember my name sometimes, she remembers that I love plants. Every time she sees my plant collection, her face lights up with excitement as she eagerly examines each one with renewed curiosity. Today, she handed me an unassuming paper bag and said, “For you,” grinning from ear to ear. Inside was the most beautiful #TillandsiaXerographica I have ever seen! When at a local nursery a few weeks ago, she had found the Xerographicas and was enamored by their curls. She excitedly told me, “This one was special. It was the only one with this—motioning to the bloom—thing on it. I just knew it was the one.” Absolutely melted my heart! Her thoughtfulness is just one of the ways that she fights to hold on to her memories, and this special moment really meant a lot to me. I just wanted to share this with y’all today, and remind you that, #PlantsMakePeopleHappy. A special #SpringIntoSummer indeed 🥹

In November I received this arrowhead plant from my Mom. It was in dire need of being repotted, the soil was very wet. So I repotted it, cut some of the “leggy” growth and propagated it. Replanted some of those and gave some away. Now, seven months later, the thing is taking off like wildfire. My daughter took a ceramics class this semester and threw her very first creation, a little pot for me. It’s perfect. I just got a Dwarf Watermelon Peperomia and I put it in. I’ve never seen one before.
