He’d been overwatered and had so many fungus gnats the soil was literally moving with them. His stalk is firm and not mushy. I brought him home, disposed of all soil, rinsed the roots, put him in a mixture of regular potting soil and peat moss, and gave him a light watering with cinnamon. I didn’t see any root rot, but figured the cinnamon would help with root growth and the gnats. The small stalk has a tiny baby bud on it which I’ve taken to mean he’s a fighter. Since it’s a corn plant, I’ve named him Malachi for obvious reasons. I also planted a jade and diamond pathos at the bottom but am thinking of removing it. Should I treat every leaf or sacrifice the leaf? I’ve heard to wipe the leaves with hydrogen peroxide & water mix. 🤷♀️ I read too many articles and ended up with so many different ratios, so I’m not sure how to get rid of it, if it is rust.
