I received three peaches from my coworkers in late July and saved their pits. I cracked them open, removed their seeds, put them in a jar of moist soil, popped them in the fridge, and forgot about them—this happened in early October. Fast forward 2 months, I think, when I come home from work: “Hey, I haven’t checked up on my peach seeds in a while.” I go to the fridge, remove the jar, and see roots all over the bottom 😱! Mind you, I was supposed to take them out at the first sign of germination, not allow them to sprout 😭. Luckily, only one seems to have overachieved and turned into a sapling. I managed to reach the other two in time before I had a huge mess on my hands. However, I'm not too sure how I'm going to get the third one out of the jar without hurting it 🥲.
