I put them on two of my pots & a plant stand using super glue. I really like how they came out & it was fun to fit them together like a puzzle! I decided to put my Gasteraloe āD Tigaā in one & my Haworthia Angustifolia in the other. I also potted my pink Syngonium in a pot with a watering tray so it evenly waters it, & also let it spend some time next to the humidifier today. I love the colors! šø Lastly, I repotted my Speckled Hoya Carnosa & my Black Cardinal Philodendron. Buuuut supervising news! There was no #rot ! All the roots were nice firm and healthy! He did get overwatered just a bit, but not for rot! I still soaked his roots just to be sure. I know the most likely reason why his leafs were very yellow. He was SOOOOOO root bound in that pot. Took me 10 minutes to just take off his old soil, why you may ask? Iām changing soils! Instead of soil for Sammy, he will now have vermiculite! Honesty looks exactly like lechuza pon, and feels like it. I also was looking at the cork and saw babies on the way šā¦ HELP! I love how simple they are to care for, & how funky they can look. There are just so many different types! š„°šŖ“ I repotted two of them today, I hadnāt repotted them since before winter so it was time, I moved the pot size up about half a size bigger than the pot it was in. I also fertilized them and gave them fresh new dirt šš». I keep my haworthia inside in my Northeast Window sill, they get afternoon sun and a some morning sun. But not as much as my other succulents because haworthia prefer less light, in fact they do better in lower lighting. Picture Five is a Bromeliad, not a haworthia. I wanted to share the babies it was growing at the base! I couldnāt believe it had multiple babies, I didnāt think it was growing very much or that it was doing well until I noticed the new growth. Itās my first time owning one, so Iām learning about what it likes and doesnāt. I have placed it beside a humidifier, because I read that they enjoy humidity since itās a tropical plant. For those of you who have been following #PipsAdventures, youāll remember that she has a favorite plant; itās a spider that (used to) lived right next to my bathtub. And she luuuuurrved this thing. While she was still too little to join the family we kept her in our bedroom and thatās where she discovered her green paw and love of plants, this one in particular (named Catnip, for obvious reasons). She spent a lot of time alone up there and I think this plant became her friend in a way. She played in it, ate its soil, batted at its legsā¦ She bonded with it. So much so that she contracted ringworm from its dirt. Yes, come to find out, the dirt of a plant can carry ringworm, as itās a fungus, not a parasite as the name suggests. Her treatment (and mine ā thanks, baby girl) would last six long, traumatic weeks filled with oral medication, sprays, medicated wipes, and baths that were terrifying for her as she had to sit in a shower stall, dripping wet for ten minutes minimum while the medicated shampoo could have time to be effective. She was five weeks old, MAX, when this started. Meanwhile, Catnip was moved out of reach, until it wasnāt so out of reach, and then it was relegated to a hallway, where the rest of us avoided it as if it was carrying the bubonic plague, otherwise known as the Black Death. Some of you #Greggers thought I should pitch the plant kit-n-kaboodle and be done with it. I mightāve, had it not been Pipās buddy, and healthy otherwise. Plus, it was a JAWS 4 kinda thing for me. This time itās personal. But life in this house is chaotic at best ā we have a lot of shit going on (pardon the languageābut truly, it could be worse), what with 5 generations under one roof, and, the sun rapidly beginning its final descent for 1 of those generations. So, Catnip sat there on that bookcase in the hallway until just this past weekend, when I finally had the time to get medieval on its ass ā to purify the plant if you will and rid it of the malignant scourge it carried. Weeeelllā¦ I may have gotten a little too Marcellus Wallace with it. Itās been 5 days and I dare say it looks worse than it did after spending 8 weeks in a dimly lit hallway being ignored by flora, fauna, and humans alike. Her treatment (and mine ā thanks, baby girl) would last six long, traumatic weeks filled with oral medication, sprays, medicated wipes, and baths that were terrifying for her as she had to sit in a shower stall, dripping wet for ten minutes minimum while the medicated shampoo could have time to be effective. She was five weeks old, MAX, when this started. Meanwhile, Catnip was moved out of reach, until it wasnāt so out of reach, and then it was relegated to a hallway, where the rest of us avoided it as if it was carrying the bubonic plague, otherwise known as the Black Death. Some of you #Greggers thought I should pitch the plant kit-n-kaboodle and be done with it. I mightāve, had it not been Pipās buddy, and healthy otherwise. Plus, it was a JAWS 4 kinda thing for me. This time itās personal. But life in this house is chaotic at best ā we have a lot of shit going on (pardon the languageābut truly, it could be worse), what with 5 generations under one roof, and, the sun rapidly beginning its final descent for 1 of those generations. So, Catnip sat there on that bookcase in the hallway until just this past weekend, when I finally had the time to get medieval on its ass ā to purify the plant if you will and rid it of the malignant scourge it carried. Weeeelllā¦ I may have gotten a little too Marcellus Wallace with it. Itās been 5 days and I dare say it looks worse than it did after spending 8 weeks in a dimly lit hallway being ignored by flora, fauna, and humans alike.
