Hey plant lovers! Iā€™ve been searching for the alocasia Amazonia ā€˜bambinoā€™ but could not find a legitimate seller! So, I went to perch (my favorite store) and saw a alocasia Polly which are VERY close to bambino! Perch never disappoints me. Here are some of the things I saw as well and wanted! For 72 dollars I saw a queen anthurium (A. Waroquenum) that was HUGE! I would have impulsively bought it ONLY if I didnā€™t know the problems with this plant (humidity, temp, etc.) which I do not have the perfect conditions. Saw a ROF philo and actually a couple, which they are cool! I love Jessā€™s (perches owner) pothos wall which never disappoints, and saw a cebu blue pothos but since itā€™s that silvery blue color that so many of my plants have I didnt buy. Ficus selection today was good, saw tineke Audrey and fiddle leaf which was cool! I saw a cool A. Magnificum x silver blush in the humidity box which was AWESOME but was 50 dollars ā˜ ļø in there saw a anthurium clarinervium which was 40 dollars not bad and a monstera Thai con which was 50, so not that bad. Saw a lot of singonuims and cathlea! I saw painted lady philodendron and tons more! Itā€™s the Sunday blues, but we still have something exiting! Welcome to the #PlantRant , the place to rant about plants! Todayā€™s topic is plants that need more light shined on them! First we have the #birkin , now if you watch Sheffield made plants, you know this plant is a beautiful plant. i put it near the window, and it was so good! I put it near the window, perfect, but i had to put something there, so I moved it again, perfect! The epitome of hardy. Next is the #PhilodendronBurleMarxFantasy , and I actually somehow donā€™t have the species! šŸ˜ØšŸ˜ØšŸ˜Ø I know, a shocker, right? But I do have a friend who has one, and they go my posts every Sunday. Give it up for @TheConservator ! I think you were the one that said how greatt these plants are. It might be @Araceae but my silly brain is questionable with memory. Anyway from what they said is that the plant beautifully silver (which drags me to most plants Sylvia Sammy and Agnes, all silver!) but the care is so easy! Iā€™m so sorry I forgot who told me this wonderful information for my next plant, but itā€™s one of you guys! A non philodendron, #NeonPothos ! Mine is actually rare, it has green variegation a bit on the leaves! Itā€™s a pretty slow grower, but little by little, itā€™s pushing out leaves, but itā€™s just so easy to grow! Give it some light and water! Thatā€™s all! Next up is kinda another philo, but my beauty #philodendronfloridabeauty is oh wowie! I got it from Etsy, which means some potential hitchhiker pests, but there were none! Itā€™s so big, and regale! Itā€™s so happy in my room, and Iā€™m so happy for it! I have put this on my list for a while, so Iā€™m so happy to have it! We have room for a fifth, so a non philo. I think itā€™s a string of watermelons? But I donā€™t know. Anyway itā€™s so great, no troubles. Itā€™s just there to brighten up a corner. Although, itā€™s a bit too small, the vines. But itā€™s so cute! Also side quest! Where can I get a anthurium claverneruim? I love it so much, I want one! Yall I didnā€™t think this could happen but it did, my fish ate a leaf on my pearls and jade pothosšŸ˜‚ Thankfully itā€™s not toxic to them! Iā€™ll have to make sure the leaves arenā€™t in the water for them to eat lol. Pothos Fanfare? Is any one familiar with the pothos fanfare tureno? How is it Different from the snow queen? It it worth the cost??? I donā€™t really buy expensive plants. To date I think my most costly plant was a large ZZ black raven from a local nursery for $40. lol but I would love to get a snow queen pothos. Pothos Progresss Pics šŸŒ± In Feb of 2024 I sucked it up and finally pruned and propped my oldest & longest plant, my lovely pothos. And man i shouldā€™ve done it a long time ago! She was about 35 feet long and losing all her lower leaves. So i finally chopped her up into about 40-50 stems.. about 10-15 stems died pretty quickly. A few i gave away but the rest are flourishing!
