Queen Elizabeth (Pineapple) is thriving I placed her outside but the hurricanes came, in particular Milton and did a number on her. She was so over-watered I could barely move her. I could only tip her a little every day till most of the water was out. She stunk so bad Finally she dried out enough and I just pulled her out, which was quite easy. I cut her leaves and pulled off the ones that were rotten. Put her in this smaller pot which had drainage holes and left her outside but in a different spot with direct sun. I don't water her a lot as it's not needed She needs another cut but for now I think she looks amazing #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #planttherapy #plantlove #plantmoms #pineapple

Stopped by my mothers and noticed her plants needed some tending and noticed she had this guy. She said “I have 2 so just take it” after I asked her when she got this and mentioned I might steal her neglected plants. Scored a pot and plant stand too. Mealy Bugs?! What’s that??? As a plant parent (new or old), I’m sure we’ve all asked that question a time or two! Right?! I know I have, UNTIL TODAY 😧 Well last week when watering my mother of millions, I noticed white like cotton ball’s on the inside of the leaves at the stems! It was extremely little, but sticky like and only a couple! So I thought, that looks familiar and it’s not suppose to be there! I immediately took it in the bathroom by itself and sprayed it down with neem oil! It’s been on the bathroom window sill since then! Tonight, I went to the bathroom and thought it’s been a few days, I should probably check the millions!! So I picked it up and took it to the garage! (Where I do stuff with the plants) I notice a bunch of the leaves are losing their color and falling off when I barely touch them! So I pop off a total of 15 leaves and I notice something moving! I grab the flashlight real quick and sure enough, IT WAS MOVING 🤯 IT WAS THE MEALY BUGS!! If you look closely, at the top of the blue arrow on the leaf, you will SEE a mealy bug! HOLY MOLY, THEY ARE FREAKING FAST AND TINY! As soon as I saw something moving, I bent the leaf down, and that thing took off! Now I see why they mess with our plants and we don’t know until it’s too late! They are soooo freaking tiny and flat, they get on the stem at start of the leaf, and it’s GAME OVER! They win and we lose! Well I changed that today!! A couple of my #ppp and #wpp got a bit leggy so I had a #propparty last night 🪴✨ Yall know I love to experiment ☺️ so I have 3 of each 2 in Coco coir, Perlite and a dab of charcoal 🪴 2 in Sphagnum moss and perlite🪴 2 in water🪴 I want to see which grows the quickest. I know they both take forever and a day to root. I’m praying the #PropDrops & #WeTheWild give them the boost they need. Oh it’s so good to finally get back in the swing of things! Some updates. All my #tissueculture are basically dead. It’s fine I’ll do more soon! Marilyn and Merida have both #potted from their water. Oh how I missed this app! And this is their winter location from now on far from that window.
