I made another Tic Tac Terrarium. Tic Tacs only take me a few days to consume, lol! I suppose that's alright, seeing as I can make these tiny terrariums that I bring with me everywhere. It's held up now for a week or two with no changes! This is my latest #terrarium! It's approximately 3 inches in diameter or less. There are no arthropods of any kind in this terrarium, as far as I know. I worked on this in the rain, so most of the plants are damp. I'm leaving the lid open to let them dry out for a while. The funniest thing about this terrarium - the substrate is so thick that when you close the lid, you can't (or possibly, just barely) see the plants inside 😅 it's an error I made while creating the terrarium. For comparison, here's the terrarium compared to an average phone (newer models) Here's a question: how often do I water it and how much? #PlantMail!!! Today, I got to see my new plants from the #gregplantshop! I received #VenusFlytrap, #ZeylanicaSnakePlant, and #MonsteraAdansonii . I got to see them for the first time! I decided to name the #carnivorousplants Compsognathus, after the insectivorous dinosaur since his traps are menacing yet small, although he has a few big traps! I already fed him two bugs. Boa, the snake plant, is thin yet tall! Quite a fitting addition to my collection. Lastly, I have Vitality the Monstera! For a while, I didn't know what to pick, but since I have Biophilia, why shouldn't I go with Vitality? Anyway, that, I noticed the leaves were bent downwards as I was unpacking, perhaps after some stress, but she seemed to perk up quickly! Sadly, I can't go home yet, and hopefully, I will make it tomorrow. GOODMORNING && HAPPY THURSDAY #brunchataudreys ❤️❤️ As I’m sitting here hoping and praying for springs arrival, damn GEORGIA just has to go and ruin it 😓😓 FEELS LIKE 8°?!? SERIOUSLY 😒 I just want and my plants NEED spring to be here like yesterday!!!! So my Heartleaf Philo is FINALLY giving me 2 new leaves which I’m super stoked about! I didn’t know if it was going to make it there for a while! It’s in a self watering pot, but I have to top water, let the water run into the drip tray, then It soaks up what it needs when it needs it! So I won’t complain because it’s not complaining 🥰 I just ordered what said it was a 4in self watering pot set of 12, but they are 3.5 inches 😒 So I managed to put my white star calathea and begonia vine in them! Now the begonia vine is giving me some babies! Look how freaking adorable 😍 (pic 4) And lastly, my pothos growing in water! Initially, I was trying to prop it, but it seems sooo happy, now I’m thinking about just letting it grow!! It took what seemed like FOREVER to get the leaves to grow, but now they are growing like crazy! HaHa I love it!! I hope each and every one of you has a great day and you do something SPECIAL for yourself! Even if it’s just some down time! Our body needs that every once in awhile! Sit down and relax! The plants can wait! The house can wait! The chores can wait! Hell, The kids can wait! 😆 but SERIOUSLY!! As a stay at home mama, I know my body NEEDS the down time!! This pitiful cactus was just thrown on the ground behind some shrubs at my home. I thought it was a goner. I just threw it in an empty planter and just left it there. Well, I noticed it and it had plenty of roots so I placed it in this planter I need help. Should I leave it there? Hello #GregGang 😁 The cold months definitely kicked my butt, was so focused on keeping the plant gang warm and alive so I didn’t spend to much time buying new plants…. Until NOW! 🤗 I scored a #Alocasia #StringOfBananas and a #StringOfPearls. This is my first time getting a String of Pearls and Bananas so any advice on how to care properly for these guys is definitely needed please! Surgery Update!! If you read my latest post, you would have known my mom had possible cancer and went through surgery. Well, she went through surgery today, and it turns out.. she's cancerless! No cancer from the start. We don't know what the true cause was yet, and her surgery makes her look like she got punched in the eye for a while, but at least we know it is not cancer. I'm not attaching a photo, sadly, to retain privacy.
