#brunchataudreys - GoodMorning & Happy Thursday 🥰❤️🥰 Well well, we met again! Is it just me or have these last few weeks just been flying by?!? Seems like I was just posting about my trip to Publix and my black Raven ZZ find 😍 Anyhoooo, I hope everyone is doing and being well! I hope you all have been enjoying the spring time weather like I have! I’m sooo freaking excited for SPRING! It’s my FAVORITE time of the year 🌺🍃🌼🌱 Yesterday, I received my #PlantMail 🥰 I got an Orange Bird of Paradise from Home Depot for $35! I don’t know why they are more expensive than the white! You would think because the white is sooo much bigger it would be more expensive, but it’s the other way around! Maybe it’s because the Orange is less common! Idk 🤷🏽‍♀️ The Orange may have smaller leaves, but those leaves are pretty cool looking! It looks like a red line down the center and when the sun hits it……AHHHHH sooo pretty 🤩 Now I have a big white, 2 smaller white, and an orange! All hanging out on the front porch enjoying the bright sunshine yesterday evening! It’s suppose to be nice again today so they got to stay outside last night! It’s cloudy right now, but the sunshine is suppose to make its way in around 4! High of 73° and a low of 50°! We are suppose to be getting some AWFUL storms on Saturday and Sunday! I’m so hoping it’ll just rain so I can get some more water! Then I also found an itty bitty florist kalanchoe and an N Joy at Kroger! Together the total was $6! So of course I had to have them! 260 plants isn’t ENOUGH right?!? Hahaha 😂 Did anyone get any #PlantMail this week?! Or maybe a #PlantHaul ?? Unfortunately….. I accidentally killed my Alocasia Polly!! 😭😭 The pot I had her in was not very good at draining, and she wasn’t getting that much light. I think that’s the reason why she died. But I have good news!! When I went to throw her away, I found 8 corms!! Today was my little sister's birthday! She's three now. I let her choose a plant from my favorite store, as well as one for myself (since I can't miss a chance for a plant grab). Im welcoming Zha'thik! (Shout out to @Prentyce, they were responsible for the name suggestion on a different plant a month ago.) Zha'thik is my first ever #Ficus! I would like tips and tricks about caring for this species. I know they need pruning sometimes and things like that, but I don't know the specifics. OMG! My dragon scale Alocasia corms are finally growing! I thought they were rotting for the longest time but there’s new growth and new roots! Check it outtttttt!!!!! I’m so excited for these babies to grow big and strong! This makes me so happy because as some of you may know, my original mother plant got rot after I was in the hospital for a month and had a plant sitter who didn’t know what they were doing. Not their fault! I appreciate the help that I got from them! But unfortunately my Alocasia did get rot. Hasn’t really bounced back since and I’m pretty sure I’m going to lose Da Vinci. But!
