This was a very nice surprise this morning.....I almost lost this plant about 2 yrs.back. She was seriously down to only the stem&2 small leaves...Today she not only has her leaves back but there is a little one under the one leaf in the last 2 pics.was kinda hard to get a pic but I tried lol.. #succulentlove #plantsmakepeoplehappy #flapjacks #newgrowth, #plantbabies

Sorry for the delay! The birthday girl just got home. She LOVES all of her goodies. #fungalinfection and #seasonalshock unalived my all but 15 #plants in my garden 😭 BUT You can’t keep an aspiring green thumb down 👍🏾🪴Ok! Period so I’m back in full effect!! This year I’m probably not going to go dum overboard in the doubles and number of plants total. I don’t want to exceed 50, but I’m already about to hit 35…soooo we’ll see 😅 What I do know is I’ll be paying ridiculously close attention to the health of my #plantbabies. Oh man, am I stoked! I'd inherited a moth orchid around 10 months ago (plus a mini China rose and a couple of scraggly pothos). Zero 'real' terrestrial plant experience. Poor Clint Eastwood looked rough (they all did) with thin, drooping, dark (ever see a green so dark it could pass for black at a glance?) and leathery leaves, but surprisingly had blooms. Now to add a bit of background. While I didn't have experience with typical houseplants, I did manage the biggest tropical fish store in the state for 20 years. We had EVERYTHING. Fresh, brackish and salt. Ponds. Amphibians. Hard and soft corals. Crustaceans and invertebrates out the wazoo. And I got to do whatever I wanted with all of the display tanks, if it helped sales. Getting insane gorgeous results is waaaaayyyy simpler when you don't have to pay for it. Oh, and freshwater planted tanks. Rival the best reefs for beauty. Point being the light, photosynthesis, chemistry, water quality and parameters, and a ton more, that unused in a while knowledge actually translated over to this hobby, at least as solid groundwork, really well. AND I HAVE BABY KEIKI'S! Stumbled across a reference to keiki paste et. al., impulse purchased some, and OMG IT WORKED! And I apologize for happy babbling, lol. Don't have anyone around me who cares about plants, so I think I've found my people here! #orchids #keiki #firsttimer #PlantBabies

#brunchataudreys good morning sleepy heads!!! I hope the #HappyPlants family & #GreggersSupportingGreggers family are drinking their tea or coffee or something special for your day!! (I don’t wanna exclude diff time zone peeps🐥) Houston! We have a moisture-humidity-too many things a meter! The plant box is around 60% humidity + 69F. My plant shelf is only 65F but 73%. Help! How to heat them but not cook or dry them :(. Puppy is acrobatic and fast asleep this morning (nail appointment this week 🤭). Propagated monstera is still gonna give me this leaf.. and NO BROWN TIPS in the spare room?! Im shooook- my philodendron is SO DRAMATIC for wilting in there. And finally.. repot disaster :( no repot drama here. This is a full blown rescue mission. I will be doing a #leca repot today to hopefully save this China Doll plant! 🤩✨🌱🥹🥳 Happy Saturday folks! New plant babies! I have recently aquired baby starter plants of: -philo red moon -philo prince of orange -monstera thai constellation -philo white prince -philo birkin I currently have them in a little ikea greenhouse with a grow light except for the monstera who is on a shelf with a growlight Would appreciate any tips or tricks to help them thrive! P.S. the birkin arrived with the yellow tip, she's doing much better now #plantbabies #Philodendron #HappyPlants

My #Monstera has pests! If you saw my last post about my #NewGrowth on Ms Rainier, you’ll recall that I mentioned some concern for spots forming on the incoming leaf. Welp, upon further inspection several of her beautiful leaves were infested with small white bugs and little black dots that I can only assume were eggs or poop or something. I gave her a good wipe down with a diluted hydrogen peroxide and water mixture. Unfortunately, I had to chop back 5 of her leaves that were so infested and damaged that it was more of a hassle to treat them than it was to say goodbye (check out the before and after pics in her profile). I’m sad to see those leaves go but I know she is grateful and will be happier in the long run. I’m going to keep up with the treatment every other day while I have her quarantined. It’s probably a good idea to check the rest of my #plantbabies while I’m at it. Oddly enough I do feel some sense of pride in taking care of my babe but at the same time I feel so guilty that I didn’t catch this problem sooner. On a positive note, there is yet another new leaf coming in! So blessed #PestControl #PlantTherapy #HappyPlants #BeforeAndAfter

I got my first #GregPlantShop #plantmail order today! I’m SO excited for these new #plantbabies! 🤩🥰😍 I was a bit shocked 😱🤯🤬 when I saw the box and was concerned for their condition and health. But it looks like they were packed well within the box as I dont see any damage from shipping. Though, I’m sure they have a little ptsd, given their rollercoaster 🎢 of a ride. I’m hopeful they’ll de-stress and acclimate well. The damaged box transported the pothos pack. Its journey originated in Florida, and tracking wasn’t updated for 2 days, showing it was in Tennessee. Then this morning it suddenly updated to ‘out for delivery’ status. While this is a FedEx issue not a #GregPlantShop issue, I am adding more pictures to see that even with the box’s physical damage, the plants seemed to have been packed well. I did not take pictures of the box that transported the snake plant as there was no damage to it. #PlantAddict #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #PlantHaul #PlantLove @alex
