Some good news A month ago I’ve decided to start my own plant collection. My first plant was a monstera deliciosa variegata, it was this plant that made me fall in love with plants and I had to have it!! Get a plant was to pricey so I decided to get a nod for propagation and she is not dead, but she is not working either, it has been hard… A lot of people say “it’s not warm enough” or “it’s not humid enough” or “needs more light” or “change it to sphagnum moss” and I did all that and it has been helpful, so thanks to everyone on your tips on my monstera. But this set a rotine of fear on me, I wasn’t really enjoying taking care of my plants as I was nore scared that they would just die on me. A few days later after I got my monstera and at that time I didn’t know what that would turn out to be, I bought a philodendron white princess and as a bonus the guy gave me a Variegated Epipremnum Pinnatum. So I just went on this rotine of fear for my plants where I had to keep them warm, humid and getting sun light, I check the soil every morning and night. So I was in a rotine of actual fear. I would get up, turn off the heater, take my plants of plastic bags (to create humidity, I already ordered a humidifier, but for now we have plastic bags), feel the soil, let the sun in, turn the heater off, clean the leafs to absorb sun light, get home, feel the soil, put the plastic bags in, turn the heater, check if it’s getting humid inside… I was doing it all out of fear and there was no joy cause I was scared of them dying on me. So today I was putting the plastic bag back on my philodendron and I noticed how big her growing point was, I was so so so happy for it, I was scared she was dying, but she wasn’t, this made all my fear rotine worth while, and I am so glad I did it! I’m just sad that only now I enjoyed her growth, I barely looked at them, I was just doing what need to be done, but she is NOT dying thanks God. She was recently repotted, which was something I did not wanted to do now, cause I was scared she was still adjusting to my home, but I had to because the pot she was in was a plastic cup with no drainage and I was scared she would be root rot, so I waited 2 weeks to change her pot, giving her a little time to adjust and she is thriving!!!! Thank God!! As for the monstera no updates as of now and Epipremnum Pinnatum nothing to report either, but now I’m a little bit more confident and once the humidifier and grow lights arrive they will definitely thrive. First picture was her first day with me and the second was today #Philodendron #philodendronrules #philodendronwhiteprincess #happyplanthappylife
