My Mogra (Jasmine) has a bud for the first time!! And my Snapdragons are blooming for the first time too!! 😍🤩🥳 And with the arrival of new Supertunia vista bubblegum, Superbells blue, Wicked Witch ColorBlaze #Coleus , Sweet Caroline Bewitched Ipomoea, and a Lemon Coral #Sedum , I’m SO thrilled to be able to embark on Step 1 of arranging my outdoor containers on an old picnic bench in the backyard. Just got this cute cafe table and chairs to create a relaxing outdoor sitting space. I had to add a plant of course—in this case, a basket of Burro’s Tail. I scared DH with this plant. I purchased two white birds of paradise and he thinks I’m going to let them grow as large as the one in the image. No, I like to keep them low to some point. Maybe 5 feet or so. What are your thoughts on the white BoP? As most of you know, I’ve been developing a formal garden just in case my daughter decides to marry in our backyard. I’ve planted many bulbs and roses as well as pollinator plants, and trees. Today, I was met with three blooms from the Don Juan I just planted earlier this week, blooms from the Mr. Lincoln I planted several weeks ago, a pink bloom from another climber planted earlier this year, and foliage from my Canna Musifolias tubers. I’m so excited over the growth I’ve seen this week alone and I can’t wait to plant the Aliums. Mandarin tree, and the other roses I picked up today. Here are pics of the blooms and foliage I found. More photos in comments!! Now that it's finally Spring, all of my Sarracenia are finally showing some sort of growth. Same with my venus fly traps! One of my venus fly traps are shooting up flower stalks, and I think I might let it flower since I really want to see their flowers in person. Also, why not yk? And oh my, looking back my garden quadrupled from last year! I started out last year with 2 carnivorous plants (A Venus fly trap rescued from a death cube and a Sarracenia Velvet) and now I have over 20 ! (They're not all on Greg) I'm so excited for this upcoming summer. Ignoring the heat (ew), im so excited to see all of my sarracenia!! And now that I have more Sarracenia Leucophylla, I'll get to see them flourish in this upcoming fall. It's amazing just watching my early season Sarracenia put their show on!
