Hey everyone, this is a reminder to check your plants’ soil! Even if you’ve watered your baby a couple days ago, it can still be thirsty, especially if it’s quite hot! This morning I had a cursory check over all my plants and they were doing the same as always. Less than an hour later, the new growths on my bay plant were drooping! It wasn’t quite time for another water yet (he’s due to be watered on Sunday), and for some reason I didn’t think to check the soil initially. When I did check the soil, it was bone dry and definitely in need of a good water! An hour later, with some water and sun, my baby perked up again. Something that’s good to remember (and that I’m still learning!), is that plants don’t work to a schedule! It works for some, but there will always be times where they need a little bit more attention, and thats normal :) Have a glorious and healthy day everyone! #BayLaurel #Watering #learning #HappyPlants #FreshLeafFriday #happyplantsmakehappypeople 3 1 Comments @marlogrows · 8M My sunflowers are starting to show some petals (: I planted these very late so I’m unsure how tall they will end up getting, however it is a nice surprise to see their little faces poking through! #sunflowers #learning #beginnerplantparent 4 2 Comments @marlogrows · 8M It’s been a very exciting month with rapid growth on all of my plants! #HappyPlants As I am a new plant parent, I’ve realized I need to stop fussing with them and just let them do their thang for awhile sometimes! #noob #somewhatgreenthumb #learning #Pothos #PrayerPlant #HiloBeauty #Alocasia #ppp 12 7 Comments @marlogrows · 8M Very vibrant new leaf popping up on my pink princess philodendron! It was the first plant I brought home back in early May, and now some of the stalks are starting to reach out and take root! So apparently I'm doing something right. XD Did my first little round of matience yesterday, cleaning out some of the dried, dead leaves from my learning curve, and I'm hoping that will help them thrive even more. I also have what is probably a gift from a bird or squirrel; some little mystery sprouts that look nothing like mint. 🤷 I think I'll leave it there and see what it turns into. #first #thriving #mint #firstborn #excited #plantbaby #plantteenager #learning #mysterysprouts #giftfromnature #outdoorgrowing #whynot 5 0 Comments
