MY CABINET IS ON ITS WAY HOME!! Omg omg omg I’m so excited! My first #PlantCabinet #humiditycabinet #IKEAGreenhouseAddicts #ikeacabinet #IKEAGreenhouse Rudsta is en route!!!! It’s gonna take me a good month to buy and install alllll the things. Aaaaaah I’ve wanted one for so long!!! I need to go back through the other posts to remember all the tips, and shit I have to buy. Eventually I want it to be mostly for my beloved #Alocasia and for babies and cuttings and corms. 🌱☀️❤️ yayyyyy!!!!!

Alright another #ikeacabinet down! For anyone that’s been following the progress of these, I said I’d post as I finished, and here’s the 2nd Rudsta. It’s different bc I added Cork bark to the backing for the Hoyas to grow up (gives something to really grip to). So in some time they’ll grow and fill in the space😍Just need to add a little more wood and maybe a small fountain and it’ll be good I think. Alright one cabinet down, 4 to go 🤣 Got one of the new ones setup, still have to redo the older ones, and fill the other new one, but I love this one so far. I wanna see your greenhouse cabinets! Ive just put up my 3rd Milsbo tall, and 2nd small one, have 2 rudstas on the way which I’ve never done and am about to redo them all! Some cork backing in the Hoya cabinets and racks for climbing, adding water features for humidity, love how you can do so much with these! But I want to see y’all’s! A project I would NEVER recommend to anyone, ever… ZERO out of 5 ⭐️ , maybe ⭐️⭐️ since I do like how it turned out ♥️… Catharina, my sister @ezlennylance) found an insta video showing how someone made a stain glass Akerbar. They made it look fun. It was not! (Link in comments). We were like “cool, we can do that!” What you have realize is we are both pretty crafty, artsy fartsy kinda peeps. We grew up around art (thanks, mom!). I used to teach scrapbooking classes and craft classes professionally. We both don’t really have learning curves when it comes to this stuff (that sounds so arrogant, and I don’t mean it to). I was the first one to use the “leading” to draw the outline for the paint, and I looked at Catharina and I was like, “this has never happened. This is difficult. There is a HUGE learning curve!” And she stared 😳… and then grabbed the bottle and tried herself and was like “WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?” 😂😂😂 We ended up deviating from the pattern that the site provided. It is beautiful, I do love it!! But you have been warned. 😂 I did the black AKERBAR, she did the white one. The pattern the website provides is for the small AKERBAR. And ikea’s website has INCORRECT measurements for the big one, as I discovered. I need to finish the weatherstripping, and add the grow light. It will be perfect for my kitchen side table to hide all the clippings of propagating plants!. #IKEAGreenhouse #PlantAddict #thethingswedoforplants

I’ve been left unsupervised and purchased enough plants to merit buying a Milsbo tall. I also bought this awesome grill setup from IKEA because I thought “that would make a great potting bench”. There’s also a set where there’s one tall with 2 short attached.
