Phalaenopsis Mituo Reflex Dragon 'Blue-2' [AM/AOS] x Happy Camper 'Blue'. Newest leaf is a large one! AND it still hasn't hardened fully yet 2. Homalomena sp. 'Silver Red'. First leaf since i got it just 2 weeks ago! AND it has a bloom popping! Although I'm suspicious over how it looks, dunno whether brown tips is good [Tip: for those using aquasoil, or as you call it Fluval Stratum, try crushing it or get the powdered form. It holds water better, but still retains the same quality as the granules. Holds onto cuttings better too] 3. Bucephalandra 'Brownie Ghost' babies. They grow sooo slowlybut these babies are growing fast! They've got a bit of a sparkle which is nice 4. Nepenthes 'Viking' x veitchii 'Bario' baby. Fresh pitchers from seedlings are the most precious to me! 5. Baby Heartleaf and Anthurium! The Heartleaf was a single-leaf w/ node cutting from a mature vine. Unfortunately I got some bad news first thing Monday morning! We bought our first house summer of 23! We weren’t in the house a month and started having problems with the septic tank! It was clogged in the main pipe that leads to the tank! My husband pulled out quite a bit of plaster from when they were working on the house! So after messing with it off and on since August of 23, we called a company to come check it out! When we called them, we were told we needed $500 to pump a 1,000 gallon tank so we put that money in savings! Well they come out Monday morning just to tell us the seller LIED, our leech field has failed, and now we need $2,500 to try and save it! But of course it’s not guaranteed! If it doesn’t save it, we would need $17,000 to rebuild it in the backyard!! Now we are stuck! We can’t sell our house until this is fixed because we refuse to lie like the last seller did and we don’t have that kinda money sitting around!! Only thing we can do is save each and every penny until we have the $2,500 and then call them to come back out to try to save it!! Uhh, why?! Just why?!? Just goes to show how that saying IS TRUE! If it’s not one thing, it’s another! Winter is letting us know it’s not spring time quite yet! It’s currently 42°, but that wind chill is making it feel like 32° and now we have a freeze warning for tonight 🤯 This weather is CRAZY like the rest of us! Haha 😆 But my planty pals seem pretty happy this week 🤩 My Thanksgiving cactus buds are about to pop, my heart leaf philo giving me some pretty cool new growth, all of my ficus have new leaves opening, and my brasil had 2 new leaves open side by side the other day!! Some peices have happily repotted some made lovely Christmas presents but these remaining cuttings while growing don’t seem to be growing viable roots. Any that do come through seem to be black and wash away when I change the water or even give the pot a knock. The soil was hard as a rock, about one foot of vine was tucked under the nursery pot in the cache pot. I am repotting right now and look at those roots! Last pic is the nursery pot it came in next to the root ball with the old soil removed. Unbelievable!
