I have several Golden Barrels. They live in the Palm Springs area. Temperatures reach from 105* to 115 * for weeks. The ribs are getting yellow? Are they getting Sunburned or Overwatered? Help it’s getting hot.

I named him prickly Pete. I am new at this, so if you have any tips, please let me know. He has no drain hole, he is pointed at the west, and he is right next to my window. I live in Idaho. Thanks!

Today I learned that my dog, she was being cared for by relatives, was euthanized without my permission or knowledge. No one would even give me any information other than, “That dog was euthanized”. As a way to cheer me up my significant other bought me a golden barrel cactus in her memory. This is not my first time owning a plant, but it is my first time owning a cactus. Any tips to help me keep my baby girl’s memory alive? I know she needs a new pot because the roots are coming out of the bottom, but I don’t know what size pot or dirt I need. Also, I don’t want to damage the roots while re-potting, because they’re literally poking out the bottom. #GoldenBarrelCactus

Inherited a golden barrel, need advice to nurse it to health. Was in a 18cm pot, it took up entire width and was root bound. Ive repotted it in a 40cm pot using succulent mix. No sign of root rot or soft spots I can see but bottom half appears yellow.
