I did a brave thing todayā€¦well, brave for me. I decided Igor, my Monstera, needed to be repotted. He had a couple roots coming out of the bottom. Iā€™ve never repotted a plant bigger than a 6ā€ because before Greg they didnā€™t live long enough šŸ˜‚. Sad but true. I am SO glad I did. Roots all OVER the place when I cut the plastic pot off. I did my own mixture (for the first time ever). I even drilled extra drainage holes in the new pot. I know everyone in Gregland already does this all the time. But for meā€¦Iā€™m not gonna lieā€¦I was intimidated. Iā€™m just hoping I did it right and Igor is happy in his new home. Now Iā€™ve got a cute little plant grow area. It was so much fun making this happen. Iā€™ve been wanting to do this for awhile. (please disregard the 70's panelingā€¦itā€™s going to be painted white very soon to match the rest of our kitchen. Also, the painting above is going to be moved so that itā€™s going to be centered)

#DealAlert #GregGang #gardenofaden I went to the Dollar General yesterday and found the cutest pots for $3 each. There are no drainage holes but you could easily drill some holes in the bottom if needed. Otherwise Iā€™m just putting my grow pots in them. Thereā€™s a blue, a white and a gray. Sorry the last one came out so dark.

I know weā€™ve all bought pots because of the plant thatā€™s in them but yesterday I bought a plant because I wanted the pot! Althoughā€¦I do love GPā€™s. Normally I woud have repotted the plant immediately because the poor thing has its roots hanging way out #RootPorn , but after joining the #GregGang I now know I should probably wait at least 2 weeks to repot.
