Darwin has really filled out over the summer, being outside. It's getting pretty cold here at night so I had to find a spot inside for him! New babies! Got home yesterday and was honestly and completely EXHAUSTED so didn’t post until now. Went to Lowe’s during my grocery run and saw some new stuff! This is my first year of exploring the new opening season of fresh plants in stock and it’s exciting ❤️❤️❤️ I couldn’t go home without this cute variegated #ScheffleraArdoricola mini #UmbrellaPlant His colors are so pretty 🤩 They also had some gorgeous #BirdsNestFerns (this is my very first fern lol). Saw a picture of this plant in one of my books and fell in love with it. The bright green wavy foliage is so lovely 🥰 Also saw this #CallisiaPinkPanther hanging around and she seemed to be all by her lonesome. I don’t think they had anymore and if they did they were hiding. Look at this colorful thing! Is she not precious?!? I gave her a trim this morning and shaped her up. Her details are beautiful 😍 Can’t wait to see these babies grow this year. Have any of you ever had a plant that felt like your nemesis? That plant to me is my Maidenhair fern😒 I find myself staring at her often wondering what she is thinking and why does she hate me. I finally mounted my #ferns! I had planned to mount my #staghornfern, but then found out I could mount my #birdsnestfern, too. I'm not sure why it didn't occur to me but it is 100x easier to find a place it fits now that it's mounted. There is a chance I'll add burlap to both, and tomorrow I have to tackle watering them (of course we had the perfect rainstorm today 🤦🏽). Just very curious what kind kf fern this is, and how I can stop it from turning brown and crunchy. I water it when I feel the topsoil is dry, I do keep it by a north/east facing window. I do also mist my plants and keep a water dish nearby.
