Any further recommendations? #Echeveria 3 2 Comments @SucculentBE · 3d MY EXPERIENCE, PLANTING SUCCULENT SEEDS: The guide said to soak the seeds for 24 hours then moisten the soil and place the seeds one by one on top of the soil with a toothpick. Well, in 24 hours the seeds had formed a gooey mucus slime around themselves and a toothpick could not separate one seed from the other. So I rigged a syringe so that I could suck up the glob of seeds with some water surrounding them and spewed the ooze onto the top of the soil. Eventually, the seeds at the bottom of the cup could be sucked up without the goo. So I was able eventually to spread the seeds out a little bit although as you can see, I have way too many seeds in each section. I popped the lid on top of the tray and we’ll wait until tomorrow to see what it all looks like . They say that succulent seeds don’t easily germinate so perhaps I don’t have too many seeds in there. Actually, I know I have way too many seeds in there, but tomorrow when things are not quite so gooey maybe I can pull some of them out. If any of you have any experience in this, let me know where I went wrong. I think I really wasn’t supposed to soak the seeds overnight because some instructions say to soak them some instructions they don’t soak them. Well, it’s an experiment after all. #TheWateringHole tags: @MarionsOasis @Just1More @Sassylimey @Ms.Persnickety @TidyTigerpear @DreamMachine @SucculentBE @kaleena @MamaLinne @debbiedo @BonusTaraire85 @Idplantthat @mtplantlady @BabeVila @RefinedSandwort @LaLaslovlies @FitBrowallia @JenniferNoel @CutePolypremum @AC73LoveCats @SweetAzurebluet @IWantThatPlant @ILoveMyPlants @princesspitstop @Jho @Dawgfreak @Luckeecharm1 @MockingJay @HolyLacealoe @stephonicle @Ponytailmom @SunflowerSunset @PrizedShadscale @Popcornjoness @BuffCaperspurge @Preciousplants1 @baobab_zig @GreenPurpose @antsinurplants @LucidAgapanthus @ShadowBoxrBaby @Forbes57 @TRose @CactusAdjacent #succulentLove #sedum #succulents #echeveria #kalanchoe #aloe #crassula #euphorbia #cotyledon #dudleya #Bredasdorp #agave #simpervivum #Salicornia #hatiora #epiphyllum #portulacaria #Austrocylindropuntia #graptopetalum #graptosedum #aizoaceae #aristaloe #lithops #ariocarpus #pachyphytum #curio #gasteria #tephrocactus #faucaria #frangipangi #othonna #Anacampseros #sesuvivum #dracanea #haworthia #stapelia #curio #ceropegia #senecio #aeonium #Zamioculcas 12 13 Comments @slayonium · 4d pretty pretty plant mail yaayyy :3c (one of the lovely roses has CARUNCLES HELLOOOOOO!??) #SucculentLove #RarePlants #Variegated #SucculentSquad #Succulents #Echeveria #Graptoveria 16 5 Comments @LeadChincactus · 1w Echeverias? 3 10 Comments @EquableAloevera · 1w How do I handle the little gnats 🙏🏽 0 2 Comments @slayonium · 1w some cuties i got recently :3 #SucculentLove #RarePlants #PlantHaul #Variegated #Graptopetalum #Echeveria #SucculentSquad 10 1 Comments @FreshDracopis · 1w Where on the stem should I prune this? I'm a chronic over-sharer so I'll do my best to stay on topic (plants and holidays!). I hope everyone is as prepared as one can be, in my family and friend circle we don't put any real stock in the calendar days, the important part is togetherness with people you love. This year, Christmas falls on the 27th for us. It's a Saturday, which means my husband will be able to enjoy the eve and present explosion the next morning. How convenient! 😉 Speaking of not quite Christmas, my little Thanksgiving cacti are doing great (mostly, the first is ⅓ very unhappy and I can't figure out why), the newer is going into full bloom and the other is nicely settled in a new pot. Also pictured, the frozen remnants of a flamingo flower that I'm giving a shot at resurrection. As we say on the farm, it's not dead until it's dead and smelly. I don't have any real hope, but you can't *hurt* something dead! My syngoniums are doing absolutely swimmingly post separation and transplant. I've read that plants talk to each other through vibrations in their roots, and I always feel a little bad breaking them up. Regardless, they seem to be enjoying the extra room. The philo is just living his best life and my newfound #propagationstation is thriving too, the #echeveria leaf I proplifted from Safeway has 2 fat little roots coming in. And, this little (?)zebra plant that it turns out was supposed to be green all along. 5 4 Comments @plant10 · 1M Not sure what to do? 4 4 Comments @ZenfrogZero · 1M Am I good to repot this Echeveria Galaxy Blue into Terra Cotta ? I got it earlier in the fall to replace the one that I accidentally killed (It was so beautiful that I was afraid to touch it but ended up killing it from lack of water.) and I don’t want this one to end up the same way as the last one I had. I planted it in a ceramic pot except the interior isn’t painted or glossed and it has drainage. I heard that soft leaf succulents need more water than others so I thought this would keep just enough moisture in the pot but not too much. It did okay for a couple of months but gradually started losing leaves and they yellowed and dried out one by one. This one I watered more sparingly since it’s ceramic, once every two weeks. Substrate is mostly Carolina red sand with some garden soil and gravel. I have currently NOT watered it in two weeks. I did the stick test and the popsicle stick came out dry with no soil stuck to it. Should I repot it into a new terra cotta pot or do plants like this go dormant at in the winter even when indoors?
