Late Night ~Cacti~ Appreciation Post, I had a chance to enjoy my #coffeewithsucculents this morning, & got to snap a few pictures of my cactus babies with morning dew šŸŒ¬ļøāœØ 1. Tephrocactus Geometricus, also known as the ā€˜Dragon Egg Cactusā€™ , has been *slowly* growing. Recently these darker, more pointy, & thick spines have emergedā€¦ Iā€™m not sure what that means or why the spines have seemed to get thicker than the rest of the spines on the plant. Iā€™m interested to know if that means anything at all, or if itā€™s just a normal growth pattern. I havenā€™t changed anything as far as its environment. If anyone has any foresight on this please share! 2-4. Another close up of the Tephrocactus, & my BEAUTIFUL Arizona Rainbow Cactusā€¦ itā€™s very apparent why it was named such.. itā€™s became one of my favorites, I wanted one for so longgg, Iā€™m so happy to own such a beautiful cultivar. The way the spines mimic a rainbow pattern vertically, as well as eyecactching aerial view in photo 3.. I just canā€™t get enough of this beauty. They also have stunning flowers which I hope I will eventually get to experience! šŸŒø 5. Variegated Corn Cob Cactus- it has really thrived since repotting in early spring, It looks to me it could already use another repot soonā€¦ problem is i have no bigger sized pots right nowā€¦ (itā€™s a bittersweet thing when your plants used to be super small, so all your pots are small, but now you have had them so long they have almost trippled in size, however you are lacking in pots that are appropriately sized for them nowā€¦ šŸ˜‚). Christmas Cactus šŸŒµ šŸŒŗ I just wanted to share how healthy my Christmas cactus is looking these days. It only had a couple flowers this year but itā€™s been through a lot over the past several years. 2 part story: part 1 - i started this plant when a family friend, visiting my moms house for Thanksgiving, walked by the plant and accidentally knocked off a branch. I brought it home and placed it in water roughly 14 years ago, and here we are! šŸ„°Part 2 of my story - I saw online that you can give deluted diluted cold coffee to a Christmas cactus as a fertilizer. So i tried it about a week ago! It certainly didnā€™t hurt anything. I also have just recently moved this plant to a brighter location under a grow light. #SucculentLove, #SucculentSquad , #Succulents, #coffeewithsucculents , #SnakePlant I havenā€™t posted much lately. Work has been busy and this time change has made it feel so late when I get home from work. I got ā€œsnake bitā€ šŸ again at the end of October and ordered these beauties (Gold Flame Snake Plant and Starfish Snake Plant). They were delivered on Halloween and I finally got them potted today. Usually, #coffeetastesbetterinagregmug , but today is my 22nd wedding anniversary so we had a pour over in the mugs we bought on our honeymoon!
