Had an ultrasound this morning semi-close to my local Trader Joe’s. Of course I convinced myself I needed strawberries and zucchini and other healthy crap (plants were not on my mind at all. I SWEAR. 😇🤣), so I stopped in after my appointment. Man, have they stepped up their orchid game in the last year or so! Walked out with two oncidiums, a good ol’ phalenopsis, a stephonicle(sp?) jasmine, and another orchid I’m not familiar with so I’ll have to look it up. Hoping the creepy spider-looking orchid lasts until Halloween. First one I came to was a new group chitchatting, and, rather than lurking, as that was my initial intention, I decided I’d like to engage. So what do I do? I hop off Greg to take some pictures to share. Yeah, it’s like I’m an f-ing Noob to this app. When I came back to comment, the post was of course gone, swallowed by the vast greggerverse and the wild algorithms that rule it, and I’ve spent as much time as I’m willing to hunting for it. So, I figured while I’m still here that I’d write up my own post in place of commenting as I’d originally hoped to. And so it begins… Hi, my lovely Greg friends. It’s been a while, I know. I don’t think I’m *back* back just yet, but maybe this interaction will encourage more. Anyhow, don’t hate me too much when you see what the weather looks like in my neck of the woods, but rather please enjoy the pictorial update on Pip, as she enjoys a little morning sun bathing and nap, which also gives a you a glimpse of The Hubster’s and my new Fiddle Leaf, Charlie, and one of our new snakes, Rolando, and a thriving Thing Two up above (golden pothos). I’ve also included a view of my current favorite corner of our home, with Nightingale and one of my new orchids, Cleopatra. And one last tidbit: look at the gorgeous leaf my big boy Herman Monstera decided to throw out in the middle of January, as if it weren’t the dead of winter. This is also his first leaf with holes above the fenestrations. I’m such a proud plant momma. So that’s me for now. I’m gonna enjoy a nice cup of shroomy coffee and my wondrously soft and cozy heating blanket that my son-in-law gave me for Christmas this year (er—last year. Whatever.). He is a really good boy though and he is small! Only 6 pounds at age 8, which is a feat, because his life expectancy was only 4 years.
