Never give up! Never surrender! #notdeadyet #NewGrowth #itsabouttime #greggang My brother gave me this vittata along with a musaica and never never ctenanthe last December. The ctenanthe has been fine, and the musaica eventually put on loads of new growth when spring rolled around. This one did nothing. It’s been frustrating because I knew it had good roots, but it would not give me any new growth and the original leaves were starting to die completely. I was on the verge of throwing it out, but took it out to the enclosed back porch before we left on a 4 day trip. Apparently, it wanted to be warmer? Not one, but two new shoots! I had literally picked it up to throw it away when I spotted them! The house is usually around 70F, but it would have been probably close to 90F on the back porch. So now I wonder, should I just leave it on the back porch where it will be ungodly hot and humid all summer (central Indiana—the corn sweat is real) or move it back inside until fall? #happyplants #calathea

Hi all, I have a Pinstripe Calathea and I’ve recently moved it to a more humid area with less temperature fluctuations. It’s doing well, but this one leaf is kind of worrying me. I am checking for root rot later, but, there’s a leaf that isn’t mushy but soggy in the middle. It does have leaf burns but I have solved the problem to that already, so that’s not an issue any longer. It’s just the singular soggy area that has lost color and foundation. It’s not rotting from the base up, so I’m not completely worried that it’s root rot but I am still checking. It’s in good soil, and a draining pot and the other leaves are healthier than they were last week since I moved it to a better area. Any help would be absolutely awesome. Thanks! Also, any suggestions to better the leaf burn would be great as well. I believe I have it handled, but suggestions to help with stress and healing would be amazing as well! #Calathea

Wishlist Plant Acquired. ✔️ Calathea Triostar!! I named her The Sanguine Star. ⭐ I was selling plants & my handmade quilted trinkets at the farmers market and I caught a glimpse of her from afar at the booth across from mine. She called to me. So I decided to ask if they would trade her for one of my plants I had for sale. They happily accepted and I brought her home just a bit ago! Does anyone have tips for these? Someone teach me how to keep my rattlesnake happy! 🥹 he has a humidifier, his water is filtered/lime free and I keep him under a grow light instead of the sun.. so why he keep being dramatic with all this browning tips??? 😫 #RattlesnakePlant #CalatheaCrew #Calathea
