I have waited way too long to post a #CommunityCatFerns update. They are definitely way bigger and more active now. Except the little fighter is still pretty tiny for being almost 9 weeks old now. But all of them have been in stores sitting in the shopping cart seat now and they stay seated and are very well behaved. I only tried bringing them one at a time and not multiple at once. Except the males have been on car rides together because they just chill on car rides and seem to like it. The girls like it but want to explore at first. Then after awhile they lie down and go to sleep. They are going thru litter and food faster now. I should have a home for one or two already at least. I have a friend who wants one of the males for sure. Not sure if he would want two. But we will see. They are already litter box trained and won’t go on the floor. They will play and run and then go to the litter box for bathroom time and then go right back to playing. I am very impressed that they are that intelligent and potty trained themselves like that without me needing to do anything. I knew cats were pretty smart but even the mom hasn’t figured out how to use the litter box and will only go to her tree outside. The kittens learned to use the litter box on their own without help from me and definitely not from their mom. Their mom made a mess on the couch one day because I was asleep and she couldn’t get out. Now I make sure never to leave her inside for too long. Allegra the mommy is just too used to growing up outside and never having a litter box and never going inside. She was scared to even be inside at first where the babies don’t know any difference. They are now not really used to being outside at all actually. So if anyone in the San Antonio area wants a kitten they should be ready to be separated from their mommy soon it seems. And they are already litter box trained and used to people and aren’t scared of people. Swapping plants is fun 🌱 I swapped a few cuttings for some new cacti from @RJG and they’re so cuuute!! All of my cacti are from him LOL but I love being able to share plant collections with others. And then watch them grow. I got my package today. Thanks again to the #gregteam for the $50 gift card to planet desert. I am crazy about euphorbia and they always have crazy ones. Only issue was UPS decided to change delivery from Saturday to Tuesday due to the holiday. So hopefully they will be fine. They were boxed up from the 22nd to the 30th. But they should hopefully be okay. They are leafy plants so that’s longer than I would normally want them boxed up for. And good thing planet desert ships in the pot instead of bare root. That probably helped a lot to limit the stress. They should end up being some amazing looking plants once they get older. I already have them under grow lights for now to hopefully help them recover quickly. They look a little rough right now but I think they will be fine in time. One was already flowering so that’s also cool. Super tiny flowers. What’s better than #PlantMail ? #PlantMail that arrives a day early!!! My Baseball cactus has a deformity and doesn’t exactly resemble a baseball, but it’s okay. Gives him character. 🤣 Since my #PlantMail came from Mountain Crest, I got a bonus mystery succulent. Can anyone help with the #PlantID of the 3rd pic? I also went to the nursery today and bought 12 new pots. Thankfully they were on sale for 20% off. While there I couldn’t resist getting a Pickle plant and another Lithop. I came home from the nursery and my husband said I thought you were just going to get some pots? I told him I couldn’t resist something called a Pickle plant.
