I need help! I inherited this neglected leggy rubber plant a few months ago. Its leaves already had a spots on leaves with brown dying edges. I repotted it because the soil didn’t look great. I fertilized it as well. I’ve checked it over for pests and I don’t see anything. It stays in a south facing window with filtered bright light. I let it dry out between waterings and I water it once every two weeks, just a cup. I read that you can cut off the brown edges on the leaves. I already tried that with some of the leaves but all leaves have started brown on edges too. I live in humid south east Texas so I would be very surprised if it is too dry. I want it to be bushy and beautiful but it is so leggy and brown. I can’t figure out how to help it thrive. There was a new leaf at the top that popped out a week or so ago and so far that one looks healthy, but I’m so afraid it’s going to start looking like the rest of the leaves. Can I start from scratch and cut it above a node near the bottom to see if that will help it grow back healthy and bushy?
