Who鈥檚 excited for another #BeneficialBugs post?! I鈥檝e got some BUG PICS for today鈥檚 #SpringIntoSummer! Sadly, I am battling thrips. This should take about three applications, hopefully, to get rid of the jerks. Regimen: - pirate bugs - cucumeris mites - stratiolaelaps mites This is my second release of those three. After this release, I will be doing lacewing larvae and nematodes. @MeganO after your #BeneficialBugs post I had to go check the preying mantis that鈥檚 been living in my hibiscus! He seems to have cleared up the aphids and is moving on to bigger things! I caught him eating a whole fly for dinner this evening! May 11 to today he鈥檚 grown so much!

My pink polka dot plant fainted for the first time today, and while I was taking a closer look, I found that she鈥檚 been harboring two fugitives!! There鈥檚 a little pink worm (alive) hanging out in the cover pot, and what looks like the shell of a snail (presumably alive) in the soil. I circled the snail in the last picture. It鈥檚 hard to see but I don鈥檛 wanna disturb him. I鈥檝e had the plant for a month now and these dudes have just been hanging out all this time!! #HappyPlants #PolkaDotPlant #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #BeneficialBugs (hopefully lol)

Might not look like much (peep it just looks like sawdust and other stuff), but more #californicusmites and #lacewing larvae have arrived to further prevent the dreaded spider mites and aphids from attacking my beloved plants! Spotted some several days ago, so decided to get more #BeneficialBugs #beneficialinsects right away!

#beneficialbugs This little guy is keeping me company this afternoon. I let him live, outside of course, and in return he eats all the mosquitoes he can find! This is a zoomed in photo so I am in no danger of being eaten myself 馃槀
