Hi, #Greggers 🌿 I want to shoutout my bestie Rachael! You all may know her as @theloveofplants 💖 Those who know her, know she is one of the kindest humans alive😇 Case in point: she sent me #PlantMail, from my very favorite nursery! 📦🤗 I was elated upon opening the box—She got me two of my #wishlistplant—an #AlocasiaDragonScale and a variegated #StrawberryBegonia 😍🍓♥️🥰 They are both SO beautiful, the pictures don’t even do them justice. The pink underside of the Strawberry begonia leaves, the beautiful colors on both plants, the gorgeous texture of their leaves—can you tell I’m in love? 😍🪴 I am so blessed to have met her (and honestly, all of you! I love this community 😘). Gotta give Rachael her flowers 💐—both figuratively and literally! I thought she deserved a public shoutout 😊 Thank you again, girl! Gabrielle started out as 3 cuttings from my sister's huge mother plant. She traveled from Florida to Missouri on an airplane. She lost all but a few small leaves. She ended up in my kitchen in some water to grow more roots. Once she was ready, I planted her into soil. A few months later and now look at her! I do so love a good begonia leaf and these are STUNNING. Absolute favorite leaf on my begonia 'ring of fire' that grew in funky but absolutely gorgeous 🤩 Recently got a wonderful monstera thai con in the mail last weekend as well and I am so excited!! 😊 one of the leafs did unfortunately come off in the mail 🍃but mistakes happen so right now I'm just excited for some new growth. I can’t….I just can’t. 🫠 #StoryofCleopatra I moved Cleopatra today to clean around her and pick off some dead leaves. I set her on the top counter of my desk…and I just can’t with her. These pictures do not even do her justice. 🫨😲😧 I included the last picture to show the underside of her leaves 😍 I can’t stop staring at her….what did I do to deserve her beauty? Alright, alright, Ms. Cleopatra deserves another appreciation post! #StoryofCleopatra (if you want to follow along) I found a picture of her (taken at the end of September 2023) when she was first placed on her “throne.” When I first bought her she was about 1/3 the size she is in the first picture. Looks at her today….oh. my. goodness! She also does a happy dance when you water her! 👇🏼 https:// She is still in the same pot and continues to put out little baby leaves! She even has shoots coming out of the dirt.
