Outdoor #freshleaffriday this week! There is growth happening everywhere that I haven't taken photos of but I did want to show off two of the gardens I actually put work into. 🧑🏽‍🌾 My perennial herb garden is the first garden I totally redid when we moved into our house. Sometimes I have to add new plants, but it's rare and I usually cannot harvest as fast as it grows. 🌿 I also love the climbing hydrangea that hides my rain barrel. Some day we will likely have to move it, but for now I just trim it a little and enjoy its beauty. 💧 It also hides a bird's nest that was home to pheobes as long as I could remember but the last couple years there have been finches trying it out, too. 🪺 The other garden I overhauled is also perennial. The four rhubarb plants are one that I split last year and no one knew was here when we moved in. STOP THE PRESSES! I moved my rescue ficus outside today to get a nice post-winter shower and all the morning sun. ☀️ As many of you might remember, my husband found this plant very sad at his job and brought it home for me to save. ⛑️ Well, I removed the tape I had on the pot to keep my 20 month's hands out of the soil and LOOK! 👀 I am floored! And terrified. The last two plant projects of 2022. 🎉 I made a new #plantwall in our bedroom with #wallygrow containers and gave our coffee bar a #glowup. While I still need to decide what plants will live where and do some fine tuning, I am feeling like I have a lot more plant space heading into 2023! As a bonus, hubby is changing jobs and I have him to help watch the kids until he goes back to work a week from Monday. That is NINE whole days I can do plant-y things. Then we get to decide how the light is in his new office and what plants will go there.
