Here are a few of my plant baby special moments. My banana tree has two new leaves. My African Milk tree is finally flowering. My Mother’s Day orchid bloomed six orchids this week!!! And my lettuce has overgrown the hydroponic. I transferred it to a raised plant bed. And now l have planted cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. Wish me luck!!!!🍀

I can't believe it, I am so blessed! First, my husband gives the okay to get more succulents, even though we both know I don't need more (said no one ever), then, my awesome neighbor comes over with a Pachypodium for me! My mother in law dropped off this aloe in need of a rescue! The soil it came in was heavy, compacted, and absolutely sopping wet. She said it’s been wet like this for months. Big yikes! The leaves were pretty mushy. So mushy in fact that they started falling off by themselves as I was repotting the poor thing. Upon closer inspection when I took it out of the pot it has no roots. Pretty much just fell out of the pot on its own! I repotted with succulent and cactus mix. I also put root powder in the soil and on the aloe itself. So hopefully that’ll help out. I really hope it pulls through. It’s not looking good for now. #AloeVera #Aloe #aloeplant #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #SucculentLove #PlantTherapy #RootRot #ThanksForPhotosynthesis

Succulent Spotlight: Grandpa Last week, I gave a shout-out to my Peruvian Old Lady cactus (Espostoa melanostele). This week, I want to show off her boyfriend, the Peruvian Old Man Cactus (Espostoa lanata). Upon discovering an opposite half to the first, I immediately purchased and wanted to complete the set. He looks like a baseball bat got it on with one of those poisonous fuzzy caterpillars, if I am being honest 😂. Upon arrival, I noticed that Grandpa was way shorter than Cousin It, and I thought he would remain her small king forever, but he has quickly caught up to her and will soon be taller. As it turns out, these guys are supposed to be tall and lanky, while the other is short and fat. And yes, another old man cactus also goes with the well-known old lady cactus called Cephalocereus senilis (and yes I will total be getting one if I get the common Old Lady Catus because I can't let her be lonely 😤). Funny thing is, if you look at all 4 of them together, it seems like the Peruvian Old Man Cactus should be paired with the typical Old Lady Cactus. In contrast, the typical Old Man Cactus should be paired with the Peruvian Old Lady Cactus based on the hairy and fuzzy vibes they give off. Update on some of my beauties Guazabara (Barbary Fig) This one is a true fighter. If you recall I was placing a support bar and snapped the top off. Well he said "I'm not being defeated" and grew another top 🤗 Gates (Lucky Bambi) I finally found a perfect spot for him and he seems to be enjoying it I removed the yellowing, cut the pieces that were nice and green and popped them in there as well I turn the pot every week and add enough water to just cover the rocks I use "tap" water that I leave sitting in a bottle to remove all the chlorine Stoney (Annual Stonecrop) She definitely likes this spot and has grown so much Blu (Blue Echeveria) I re-potted her and look how she's growing I don't know if the ones around the main one are part of her or if those fell in there #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #newgrowth #succulentlove #planttherapy #plantcorner #plantlove #plantmoms #barbaryfig #blueecheveria #luckybamboo #succulentsquad #succulentlove #succulents #succulent #succerforsucculents #cactusclique #cactus #cacti #cacticollect #cactusbox #stonecrop
