I am first to admit that I have a problem when I see a cool plant. I just gotta buy it. But I’m pretty certain that I’m not the only one with that particular issue. Hope everyone is having a good weekend, Im pretty busy this weekend! Today my grandma had a yard sale, so me & my boyfriend went to help as well as sell some things. We plan to use the money we made for our day trip to Carolina beach tomorrow! 🌊 I’m super excited since we haven’t been to the beach in a while & haven’t gone on a trip this year together. Although it’s not summer anymore and won’t be as warm, which means I most likely won’t be able to get in the water 😞 I’m still happy that I will get to see the water & sand as well as smelling the salt! 🏝️ My grandma was selling these plant stands & since I liked them she gave them to me. ( photos 1&3) she also gave me a pup from her Haworthia since I repotted it for her while I was there. 🌱 I also had a few plants I didn’t sell at the yard sale, so I kept them & repotted them when I got home. Got to repot some things today & yesterday, whilst repotting my Aloe ‘Delta Lights’, I dropped it on its head and broke some leaves 😭.. it was so root bound and stuck in the pot, I quite literally had to fight with it for a about ten minutes to get it out the pot it was in.. 😒 when I dropped it upside down… the whole rootball (the dirt) fell apart & the dirt got all over the plant & crevices 😟. All in all it was a STRUGGLE to repot it, but I was able to get it done, lesson learned *don’t let it get so rootbound to where it’s almost impossible to get it out of the pot*… (photo 1) I also repotted my Silver Snake Plant today in my other 20 inch teracotta bowl, (the aloe went in the other one). I wanted to use them for an arrangement, but honestly my plants have gotten so big this season to where I don’t even have pots big enough to repot a lot of them right now. 😫 so I just had to use them for one plant, which is fine because honestly those plants both need more space to grow. (Photos 2-3) I put my Graptopetalum ‘Superbum’ in the pot that I took my Aloe ‘Delta Lights’ out of. It had slowed growth & the dirt just seemed kinda hydrophobic. I’m hoping to see a little growth before I have to bring it in during winter. (Photo 4) Lastly, the Aloe ‘Delta Lights’ looks like it’s starting to form a flower stalk.. it’s never bloomed before, I’m hoping me repotting it while it’s actively trying to flower isn’t gonna stunt or affect it. Snake Plant Sunday 🤗💚 • Some new pictures of my beloved Snake plants, they are slow growing but it’s gratifying when they finally do put out new growth. Priscilla (fourth picture) had grown a pup a couple months ago, since then it has gotten really big! Same for my Silver Snake Plant, it’s kind hard to see the pup on that one (photo 3) but it’s there & has also grown a lot since my last update on it. I kinda want to separate them & make new plants out of them, but I’m kinda nervous about it &, I also like the more full look it gives the plant. • I also wanted to share my Satin Pothos, she has really taken off since repotting her, & giving her a trellis to climb on, & adding a water globe for more even/consistent watering. I fill up the water globe every two days or so, & it has really made a big difference, I also moved her outdoors (on my screened in porch) in the beginning of spring, for the first time since getting her. She is just so full & pretty ! Good morning #TheThread ! I am starting a new tag called #PlantRant but anyways WELCOME TO PLANT RANT THE PLACE TO RANT ABOUT PLANTS!!! TODAY WE ARE ADDRESSING EASY AS HECK PLANTS!!! WE HAVE 7!!! Obviously we got the SNAKE PLANT! I’ve only watered this guy 5 TIMES THIS YEARRRR!!!! Tho does not respond well to being overwatered!! if you are one of those plant parents that just overwater EVERYTHING be careful but honestly it’s not really that bad! Next we got the BRASIL! and maybe I’m a bit biased for gods sake my name IS PHILOOOOO. The philo brasil is variegated but don’t worry, it’s not like other plants that have to have sun to variegate! IM LOOKING AT YOU POTHOS! HAD TO PUT YOU RIGHT AGAINST THE WINDOW FOR ONE VARIGATED LEAF!!! This diva variegates no matter what. The only flaw with plant is a philo flaw in general which is they need so many pots. LIKE I NEED SO MANY POTS. It’s really amazing how many pots they need… Next is just ficus in general, GOOD BOY! NEVER BAD! I LOVE THE LEAVES! I HAVE THREE AND I LOVE THEM!!! I just got one… YESTERDAY! Maybe I’ll not be philo and be FICUS!!! Next is the ZZ PLANT MY WONDERFUL CC OMG BUTIFUL! AND I KNOW I SPELLED THAT WRONG THATS BEAcAUSE SHES SO BEAUTIFUL! LITERALLY INDESTRUCTIBLE ITS INCREDIBLE! Next we have the POTHOS! I was considering NOT putting this on here because it’s SO overused but I mean cmon, please. She is like literally not even A PLANT at this point. SO HUGE OMGGGG!!! Now I don’t have this yet, but I’m looking at it, the Hoya! LITERALLY DONT HAVE TO GIVE THIS PLANT A GALACTIC AMOUNT OF FERTILIZER JUST TP BLOOM!!! ALSO SUPER EASY JUST DO THE TACO TRICK! JUST BEND THE LEAF! If it folds, water time! But if it’s firm, NEGLECT TIME! THIS HOYA IS LITERALLY A GEN X KID OH MY GOSHHH!!! Next is the philodendron BILLAE! IM LOVING IT LIKE MICCY D’S!!! GOT IT 4 FREE AT MY FAVORITE STORE! SUPER SLOW GROWER, GO TO HER FRIEND, BRASIL, FOR A FAST ONE! BUT A NEW LEAFY IS DEFO A FLEX! #WhatTheSuccWednesday #WhereIsWhatTheSuccWednesday Happy Hump 🐫 Day! *whoot whoot!* 🎉 Photos 2-5 are my repots from this past weekend. 🌿 1- my #PlantCorner on our screened-in porch, out back. It’s just so nice to see all my plants just co-existing with one another! *FUN FACT*: I’ve heard that plants placed next to each other tend to do better, & actually prefer to be around each other. It’s almost like they thrive on each others company & vibes 🤭🤷🏻‍♀️ how neat is that? 2- Golden Torch Cactus got moved to this bigger pot, (my turtle pot). I moved my sick jade tree out of the turtle pot, and moved my cacti into it. I’ve had this cactus cluster for 4 (going on five) years, it was only one cactus stalk when I was gifted it my bestfriend, now it’s five! 3- Lipstick Echeveria also was moved to a new hanging pot, onto the back porch. 4- Cylindrical Snake Plant, was moved out of my the hanging pot, my Lipstick Echeveria is now in. ^ (from photo 3 above), and moved into a larger terracotta pot my mom gave me recently. 5. Lastly my Lady Finger Cactus has {finally} gotten a noticeable amount taller, I put it into a new slightly larger (3.5) inch terracotta pot. #WhereIsWhatTheSuccWednesday #WhatTheSuccWednesday Happy humpday #GregGang ! I’m a little late for this what the succ Wednesday post, but better late then never!! So happy to say that my Opuntia Prickly Pear Cactus has started growing flowers I think! This is one of the plants my boyfriend brought home from work, he found it in some pine straw and it was an arm that had fell from the mother plant and started growing roots in the pine straw. He brought it home to me and it has grown tremendously since! This is my first time seeing it flower & I can’t wait to see what color the blooms are or what they will look like! (Photos 1-3) The fourth photo is my newest snake plant growth, I posted a few days ago and it has grown faster then I expected, it was much smaller a few days ago, I somehow had missed it, but I just love how silver-ish they are when the leaves are new, really lives up to the name! 🌚 Last photo is my variegated haworthia cooperi pilifera (wow that’s a mouth full! 🤣) it had stretched quite a bit over the winter, I thought it wasn’t gonna bounce back but thankfully it did because I absolutely love this lil cutie! 🥰 You all know the drill! Theme.. Green 💚🌿✨ 1.Silver Snake Plant, pretty sure this is a new leaf, I didn’t notice it until recently. 2. Peanut cactus, is growing pretty fast. It should be putting off a new offset soon since it’s been a while since its last one, this one has recently became one of my favorites to watch. 3. Golden Torch Cactus, this one has also been growing fairly@fast since I repotted it. 4-5. Happy Thursday #GregGang Hey guys… 😬- I missed #WhereIsWhatTheSuccWednesday & #WhatTheSuccWednesday yesterday, so I’ll just be posting some succulents for this weeks post! But please share your succulent & cacti activities in the comments! 🌿1-2: my dusty rose echeveria that had started growing to new bloom stalks since bringing her home. She already had one when I got her and it was stunning! 3: African Milkbush is loving its spot outside right now, it gets morning sun and afternoon shade. It has for sure grown quite a bit 😍 it’s easily become one of my favorites. 4. My Newest Snake plant, (I shared her with you guys last week, when she grew her first pup) is growing faster then I thought, the pup has almost trippled in size. 5. A recent repot of my spring jade sedeveria that has been giving me a hard time for some reason 😩 idk what it wants these days. Less sun? More water? No matter how much I water it the leaves are wrinkly, but it seems healthy otherwise and continues too grow offsets. Does it need less sun? I keep it outside in pretty much full sun. Got some clearance pots from Walmart yesterday! I repotted my Silver Snake Plant! (1) I also found a pup on my newest snake plant! (2&3) Waikiki elephant ears are doing amazing, & have put off 3 new baby plants. (4) My echeveria dusty rose’s blooms opened Sunday afternoon! Found some more succulent babies on some succs that are new! first is my pachyveria little jewel, it has two bigger offsets but the small one is new. 2. My graptoveria titubans variegata has its first baby! It’s super tiny but I’m so excited! It’s one of my faves! 3. Graptosedum California sunset that I almost killed is regrowing.. yay ! 🤣 4. I posted about my moon silver snake plant pup last week, but it’s got another very small one to the left of it! 5.
