#brunchataudreys Good morning everyone 🌻 It's an absolutely gorgeous day here in the great state of Texas! High of 85° low humidity! I wish it was like this year 'round! Today is the day my Snake Plants are due for their once a month, give or take a day, watering. They have grown so much over the Summer 🌞 Months ago I also Soil Propagated some by cutting up a leaf and waiting. I waited...and waited... FINALLY little pups appeared! They're so stinking cute! 🥰🐍 Oh and I wanted to show you guys the colors on this little Hoya. It's sun stressed from my grow light. What do y'all got going on today? Tell me all about it!! Sometimes I'll space out tending the plants and start touching them. The fuzzy geranium feels like a newborn baby's head. New leaves on the peace lily are like fine satin. The philo is almost like porcelain, except the feeling of how it's very much alive. The snake plant is strong and sturdy, almost like high quality parchment. I was cooing over a new leaf and my husband (who is ambivalent at best about plants) says, unimpressed, "it looks fake." And it kinda did. I think that's why I like to touch them, it reminds me they're living and breathing too, not just a nice decoration. #plantsmakepeoplehappy #peacelily #zonalegeranium #snakeplant #philodendron #philoflock #peacelilypower #planttherapy

I am first to admit that I have a problem when I see a cool plant. I just gotta buy it. But I’m pretty certain that I’m not the only one with that particular issue. Hope everyone is having a good weekend, Im pretty busy this weekend! Today my grandma had a yard sale, so me & my boyfriend went to help as well as sell some things. We plan to use the money we made for our day trip to Carolina beach tomorrow! 🌊 I’m super excited since we haven’t been to the beach in a while & haven’t gone on a trip this year together. Although it’s not summer anymore and won’t be as warm, which means I most likely won’t be able to get in the water 😞 I’m still happy that I will get to see the water & sand as well as smelling the salt! 🏝️ My grandma was selling these plant stands & since I liked them she gave them to me. ( photos 1&3) she also gave me a pup from her Haworthia since I repotted it for her while I was there. 🌱 I also had a few plants I didn’t sell at the yard sale, so I kept them & repotted them when I got home. Can anyone tell me what going on with my snake plant? What caused it to do this? Should I cut that part of the leaf off? How do I prevent this moving forward? Any advice and solutions are greatly appreciated. #SnakePlant

Got to repot some things today & yesterday, whilst repotting my Aloe ‘Delta Lights’, I dropped it on its head and broke some leaves 😭.. it was so root bound and stuck in the pot, I quite literally had to fight with it for a about ten minutes to get it out the pot it was in.. 😒 when I dropped it upside down… the whole rootball (the dirt) fell apart & the dirt got all over the plant & crevices 😟. All in all it was a STRUGGLE to repot it, but I was able to get it done, lesson learned *don’t let it get so rootbound to where it’s almost impossible to get it out of the pot*… (photo 1) I also repotted my Silver Snake Plant today in my other 20 inch teracotta bowl, (the aloe went in the other one). I wanted to use them for an arrangement, but honestly my plants have gotten so big this season to where I don’t even have pots big enough to repot a lot of them right now. 😫 so I just had to use them for one plant, which is fine because honestly those plants both need more space to grow. (Photos 2-3) I put my Graptopetalum ‘Superbum’ in the pot that I took my Aloe ‘Delta Lights’ out of. It had slowed growth & the dirt just seemed kinda hydrophobic. I’m hoping to see a little growth before I have to bring it in during winter. (Photo 4) Lastly, the Aloe ‘Delta Lights’ looks like it’s starting to form a flower stalk.. it’s never bloomed before, I’m hoping me repotting it while it’s actively trying to flower isn’t gonna stunt or affect it. Snake Plant Sunday 🤗💚 • Some new pictures of my beloved Snake plants, they are slow growing but it’s gratifying when they finally do put out new growth. Priscilla (fourth picture) had grown a pup a couple months ago, since then it has gotten really big! Same for my Silver Snake Plant, it’s kind hard to see the pup on that one (photo 3) but it’s there & has also grown a lot since my last update on it. I kinda want to separate them & make new plants out of them, but I’m kinda nervous about it &, I also like the more full look it gives the plant. • I also wanted to share my Satin Pothos, she has really taken off since repotting her, & giving her a trellis to climb on, & adding a water globe for more even/consistent watering. I fill up the water globe every two days or so, & it has really made a big difference, I also moved her outdoors (on my screened in porch) in the beginning of spring, for the first time since getting her. She is just so full & pretty ! Good morning #TheThread ! I am starting a new tag called #PlantRant but anyways WELCOME TO PLANT RANT THE PLACE TO RANT ABOUT PLANTS!!! TODAY WE ARE ADDRESSING EASY AS HECK PLANTS!!! WE HAVE 7!!! Obviously we got the SNAKE PLANT! I’ve only watered this guy 5 TIMES THIS YEARRRR!!!! Tho does not respond well to being overwatered!! if you are one of those plant parents that just overwater EVERYTHING be careful but honestly it’s not really that bad! Next we got the BRASIL! and maybe I’m a bit biased for gods sake my name IS PHILOOOOO. The philo brasil is variegated but don’t worry, it’s not like other plants that have to have sun to variegate! IM LOOKING AT YOU POTHOS! HAD TO PUT YOU RIGHT AGAINST THE WINDOW FOR ONE VARIGATED LEAF!!! This diva variegates no matter what. The only flaw with plant is a philo flaw in general which is they need so many pots. LIKE I NEED SO MANY POTS. It’s really amazing how many pots they need… Next is just ficus in general, GOOD BOY! NEVER BAD! I LOVE THE LEAVES! I HAVE THREE AND I LOVE THEM!!! I just got one… YESTERDAY! Maybe I’ll not be philo and be FICUS!!! Next is the ZZ PLANT MY WONDERFUL CC OMG BUTIFUL! AND I KNOW I SPELLED THAT WRONG THATS BEAcAUSE SHES SO BEAUTIFUL! LITERALLY INDESTRUCTIBLE ITS INCREDIBLE! Next we have the POTHOS! I was considering NOT putting this on here because it’s SO overused but I mean cmon, please. She is like literally not even A PLANT at this point. SO HUGE OMGGGG!!! Now I don’t have this yet, but I’m looking at it, the Hoya! LITERALLY DONT HAVE TO GIVE THIS PLANT A GALACTIC AMOUNT OF FERTILIZER JUST TP BLOOM!!! ALSO SUPER EASY JUST DO THE TACO TRICK! JUST BEND THE LEAF! If it folds, water time! But if it’s firm, NEGLECT TIME! THIS HOYA IS LITERALLY A GEN X KID OH MY GOSHHH!!! Next is the philodendron BILLAE! IM LOVING IT LIKE MICCY D’S!!! #brunchataudreys Happy Thursday everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. 🌞 I ordered a Zeylanica Snake Plant from the #gregplantshop via Altman Plants that was delivered yesterday! It's way nicer than the actual picture and much taller! So tall in fact that one of the leaves accidentally got folded down into the top of the box during shipping and it broke the tip off. No big deal it's still a beauty! It won't hurt me as much when I chop it and prop it. Little known fact about Snake Plants... once the tip breaks off of one of the leaves, that leaf stops growing. It won't die, it just won't grow any taller. I usually end up cutting that leaf off as close to the base as possible, which allows the energy that was given to that leaf to be used to produce new pups. Which is what's happened every single time I've cut a leaf off. New pups shortly appear. I am also waiting on 2 Watch Chain plants which will be here today!!! Plant mail is the best mail! Am I right? And for a big bonus the package is bigger than my mailbox so they have to deliver it to my door!! Good morning☕️🌞 to #TheThread Well we made it through Monday its on to Tuesday. It rained most of the day away yesterday in kansasland. It was wet and just a little chilly so nothing outside got done. Luckily my cactus were still on the porch from the last round of rain. Its looking like theyre never going to get off the porch lol. Theres really not much to report on my plants except that im still waiting for my aquarium to get shipped out😤 so i can start my ping terrarium. Its going to be a full day at work today for me. What are you guys doing? Im sure with fall fast approaching alot of you are scrambling to get plants ready to come in. Its always such a chore finding where to put everything this time if year that im sure alot of you have already started.
