Hi! Does anyone in California want #plantmail of a dog tail cactus cutting? I am getting rid of my cactus plants, but would love to pay it forward with some cuttings if anyone wants to claim. The plant is much bigger than this old photo I have of it in my Oasis. #saturdayswaps

Let’s get some #plantmail! #TexasGregGang #SaturdaySwaps is gonna get started for 2025! You can see previous posts but I want to try and mail out some cuttings before the weather gets too hot. If you’re in Texas or a neighboring state, and you have signed up, I sent an email earlier tonight! If you haven’t signed up, you can email me! The idea is that you will pay to mail cuttings to some people and they’ll pay to send some to you! So we’re not selling to each other, it’s all free minus shipping costs. FREE PLANTS, ANYONE? Hey all! Let’s do a #SaturdaySwaps check-in. I’ll send out a mass email soon to see who wants to try to stay in touch - even if it’s too cold to ship plants right now, I’m trying to keep the group from dying out! This is free* (except for paying for shipping) and a way to get new plants while getting rid of extra plants/cuttings you’re not in love with anymore. I divided all members up by region so you’re only shipping within the same state (or a neighbor). Each region needs a leader who basically keeps the group email chain going and helps out as needed. Let’s do a check-in for #SaturdaySwaps Well hi! Soooo Texas went immediately from winter into “Holy crap it’s hot” without much of a nice springtime transition. With that being said I wouldn’t mind keeping Saturday Swaps open. But how do yall feel about mailing plants right now?! If you’re like me, you’re willing to pay a few bucks to ship a little box to someone but I don’t know about buying cold packs and all of that. Thoughts? Also if there’s anyone in #SanAntonioGregGang #SanAntonioGregMeetup who would want to buy some potted plants cheap off of me, I have some duplicates that are willing to go to a new home. The latest and greatest #PlantMail ! My latest order from #BrosWithHoes just arrived and overall I’m really happy. I’d had my eyes on these for a while and after I lost an Alocasia in a USPS error (technically not even BWH’s fault) and they gave me a lot of store credit… I waited until the right moment and jumped on it! I got a heat pack for free too which was super nice as Texas had a surprise freeze for a few days. Now I’m on a #plantban for a while because… I bought a new car this weekend 🤪 so I’ll focus on the ones I have, waiting for spring, starting cuttings to sell and for #SaturdaySwaps and be excited for new growth! 🌱☀️❤️

Hey #SaturdaySwaps gang! How is everyone?! Happy autumn! I’m checking in to see how we’re all doing. I know here in the USA we’re starting to prep for colder temperatures (if they haven’t hit you already) so things may be slowing down. But I encourage you to check in on all of your house, plants, and maybe even consider starting some cuttings, so that they will be rooted when the weather is nice for shipping again! I also just sent an email out to my local gang in the southern central United States to see how you were doing, and if anybody is local and interested in some plants I am wanting to get rid of. I know I am EXTREMELY late on this freaking post, but better late than never! September 15th, I was able to partake in my FIRST ever IN-PERSON #plantswap in a first ever #gregmeetups! All thank to the #saturdayswaps for starting up this rad new friendship with @Boymom-plantmom ! We have mailed each other back and forth a butt-ton of plants and miscellaneous stuff (each time our boxes getting competitively bigger and heavier) and we text each other all day every day or every other day! So happy about this new friendship made possible through this app and everything involved with it! She came over and we both were going around in circles, so much to show and do and talk about ( I literally forgot Half the stuff I had for her bc my brain was more frazzled than usual). Lol after my 4 year old pushed her around at my house we decided to go to phillips nursery nearby (my 4 year old still pushing her around lol) and the conversation just flowed naturally. It's like we had know each other for years. It was comfortable and delightful! These are just some of the goodies she brought me! (In one photo, it's the blue, Red, and clear diamond things I used to decorate my soil). Can't wait to go to Tennessee for our big plant swap sequel! Let’s talk #SaturdaySwaps yall! 🌱☀️💌 Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I’m speaking as the leader of the Saturday Swaps group for Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana - I know we haven’t mailed each other anything in a while but I’d love to get started again when it cools down! Maybe end of October? I post this now so you can take an inventory of what you might want to trade in the autumn and winter, and maybe even get some cuttings started! Other groups around the globe can chime in here too. And if you’re not not signed up yet, it’s free! This is a swap group that we try to organize geographically so your plants only sit in a shipping box for a few days. You’ll only pay for shipping when you send something out, and it works out since others will pay shipping to send things to you! I usually pay about $4/label and I use the Pirate Ship website. I’m here if you have questions - but let me know how you’re doing and what you thoughts are as we head into cooler weather here in the Northern Hemisphere! 🌱☀️❤️
