Well, cinnamon sprinkled, sticky fly traps added, and fingers crossed. I’ll be spraying neem oil and water this evening to try and help too. Rihanna and Athena trialing their new spots 🌱 I’ve got Athena my #RoseCalathea standing on some pearlite, with a few cm of water, in a fishbowl. I’m hoping this will keep the humidity enough for her. I’m going to keep a close eye and may have to bite the bullet and buy a humidifier, but I will trial everything and anything before that 🤣 And Rihanna the #DwarfUmbrellaTree , freshly watered and just looking fab… but who would expect anything less from a plant named after The Rihanna?? #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PLANTMAFIA #PlantShelfie

Fishbowl humidifier for my #RoseCalathea day one: so far, so good! 🌱 She’s definitely perked up since having the humidity and recent watering. I am very aware of a calathea’s… let’s say… particular choices… so it’s a day by day thing for now! Even though I said she’d live upstairs, for now, I need to be able to see what’s going on with her so she’s with the gang downstairs now. I’m making this post so I’ve got to hold myself accountable! The upstairs rooms in my house are so much warmer than downstairs - so I’m thinking plant corner is getting divided between up and downstairs now… big move for me here! I’ve found having my plants in the rooms I inhabit most are the best for me, but that was before #Greg came in to my life… so I think I’m ready for the upstairs rooms to get some plants in! After some advice on my #PileaPeperomioides , I think it’ll be happier up in a warmer spot anyway, it’ll get a longer amount of sunlight and will be humid with my new #RoseCalathea - so I think Mr Tree Diddy will be happier up there with Athena. This will happen in a few weeks as I’m still isolating the newbies for now. I am so happy this app exists #Nallon
