#FreshLeafFriday just under the wire! Just wanted to share my first successful begonia propagation! 🥳 I’ve tried so many times with begonias, but they always just rot 🥲 but not this time! I did it! 🎉😆 seriously, though, it’s so tiny and cute. I might gift it to a friend, I might prop another one and make a second #PolkaDotBegonia for my office. Also, my #ChineseHibiscus is still blooming, and is doing it even faster than it did in the summertime! It took a while to build up the energy, I guess. 🌺🌺🌺 And a bonus picture of my chihuahua rescue, Mia, in her cute lil Halloween sweater (she gets so cold! I’m super proud of this guy! I brought him home from the clearance section maybe a week or two ago, and he looked great but all of a sudden the leaves started turning grey and I panicked. I thought I was killing him but lo and behold not one! Not two! But THREE new leaves are emerging!!! Asking a lot today but I’m still a #NewPlantMom I’m wondering if my #spottedbegonia #begoniamaculata should be in a different pot or should I get it some type of pole? I’ve seen others and they are more bushy but mine is getting tall! It looks happy and it keeps growing leaves. I don’t want to mess it up. He’s a progress pic. #PolkaDotBegonia

#brunchataudreys - GOODMORNING & HAPPY 😊 THURSDAY LOVELIES ❤️❤️ I hope EVERYONE has a great day 🌞 Sooo……I know we ALL have that unbelievable BEFORE & AFTER pic of a specific plant, right?!? 🪴 I actually have a few, but 2️⃣ in particular!! My Purple African Violets!! WOWZERS - It was pretty PATHETIC when I received it! Mind you, I live in Atlanta and for some reason I cannot find African Violets in the local grocery stores or nurseries! So I’ve had to order online! Aside from the 2 I just got and flew them home with me from Virginia! But this solid purple one has really blown me away 🤯 Now it’s going ready to bloom with 3️⃣ new buds 💜 And my (Cissus Discolor) Begonia Vine! I just got that a couple of months ago and it only had 3 or 4 leaves on it! It was soooo sad, I didn’t think it would make it! But a self watering pot and a little TLC did the trick! Now it’s literally wrapping itself around one of my aloe leaves!! And the self watering pot is FULL of roots 🤩 The last one for today is my Polka Dot Begonia!! It only had 3 leaves and they were all dried up and crispy! It was maybe 3 HALF leaves! SMDH 😓 I cannot believe someone would charge $15-$20 for a plant in that shape! But I’ve just been taking care of it just like I do with the rest of my plant babies (300 +) and now I think it’s quite happy! It has 2 NEW leaves coming in and NOOOOO brown spots!! YAYYYY WOOHOO🤩 So what are your CRAZY before and after plants?!? #PolkaDotBegonia #helpneeded Please help! I’ve never had success with this plant. It grows taller, it buds, but the leaves always fall off. I’ve tried different locations, I’ve made sure not to overwater and not to let it dry out, I have no idea what to do. Can I snip these long things off and will it grow back? How can I help the leaves stay?
