#WhatTheSuccWednesday I have had one heck of a year ... heck, I've had EIGHT tough years. 😆 Here's my official #BloomingSuccs post that encapsulates my year: I had a little cactus. I've had it for years. Overtime, it started to grow sideways. It made me smile. I thought growing sideways gave it character. Last year, I realized it was rotting and I moved quickly to chop it and cut away the bad parts of my little cactus. It was sad. It was less than half the size -- it wasn't crooked any more; it was a nub. I thought it had lost its character. I left it to dry and heal and then I placed it in some new soil. I often wondered if my little prickly pal was going to make it. BUT! One day, I saw a little root reach out. THIS WEEK it has FLOWERS! @hannahbanana96 and my #PlantProtégé and I went plant shopping! #PlantFast be darned. Some were pretty much #HappyPlants some were #NotSoHappyPlants and one #Dieffenbachia had stupid #mealybugs and Mrs. Rachel was going to toss it in the trash, but she gave it to us instead. (: Oh! I've got a "plant" I'd like to #identify! If any of y'all who are good with a #PlantID can help me out, I'd appreciate it! This is an #UnknownPlant #Propagation in my #PropBox My #PropagationStation has taken on life if it's own! Clearly there is #fungusamongus! The first two pictures are the same (one without a flash and one with a flash). The last picture is pretty cool because it looks like two plants in one ... it kinda looks like a little Staghorn fern! Clearly I have #HappyPlants which is good news for this #PlantAddict #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlayingWithPlantsInsteadOfWorking #Fungi

Just in case there are #Greggers out there struggling with keeping a specific plant happy, I present to you my #SSOP. Here's an official (backwards) #BeforeAndAfter of this horrible plant. It used to be the bane of my existence ... but now I have come to peace with this monster. I don't let it see me cry -- it can smell fear. I have banished this #NotSoHappyPlants to a #PropBox and I glance at it every week or so. It is what it is: #SurvivalOfTheFittest #HappyPlants (but not this one) #PlantsMakePeopleHappy (except SSOP) #PropagationStation #PlantGraveyard #plantjokes #PlayingWithPlantsInsteadOfWorking #SOBER (even after this hateful #StringOfPearls !)

Shout out to @RJG AND @EAS My perfect #Euphorbia Poisonii finally arrived and it has SIX GROWTH POINTS!! SIX!!!!!! #HappyPlants AMAZING! Thanks, to UPS, my new plant took the scenic route from Austin to Memphis to Nashville 🤦‍♀️ back to Memphis and now it's home in #SarahsGreenhouse It's name is POISON!! ... with two exclamation points. 😉 Cheesecake the turkey wants to see. I am not excited about this weather. I am planning on covering #SarahsGreenhouse with a pool cover/tarp, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna pull my favorite plants back into the house.
