Here is my Darrow’s blueberry bush. This plant is native to Florida. I cannot find it on Greg. Here’ is the scientific name. https://. I purchase many of my plants, including this one, at the county master gardeners’s nursery. These nurseries are supported by the state universities and you can get great plants at a fraction of the cost of a big box retailer. Your county may have one. My neighbour is such a sweetheart 🥹 It’s my birthday this week and she wanted to get me something, so all I asked for was a clipping from one of her plants!! She ended up giving me loads of clippings from her pothos after insisting that it needed a haircut, and then she kept asking if I wanted anything else and I said no. I made a passing comment about always killing Chinese money plants (of which she has several) and she just gave me one of hers!! And even said that if I kill it then she can give me another 🥹 She also offered up any clippings of things from her garden - which is beautiful might I add. I’m so happy, my plants are finally coming back a little better after the summer heat and super dry spell! It’s about time it rained for a few days, but the plants needed it! This papaya has been incredibly challenging for me to grow successfully! Two years ago, when I began attempting to cultivate papayas, I had a much larger crop. However, my animals discovered them, and unfortunately, they were not spared. Thankfully, the animals remained safe, but the papayas did not fare well. 😢 This particular papaya, however, managed to thrive! And to be honest, it looks the best it has ever been! Hey everyone! I’ve got a question. I’m really trying to think of an easier beginner-friendly plant for my niece. She’s nine years old and has repotted all my sister’s plants. (Half of them died 🤦‍♀️) My sister is not as thrilled about that. ha ha 🤣 but we are learning and all start somewhere. She’s got a pineapple plant, but she really wants a cool plant that’s more her speed. Does anyone have any suggestions? It’d be in her room, and she’s the one who will take care of it. - so something that’s a good house plant and lower maintenance?? Does anyone have some suggestions?
