Every quarter-year, the local garden authorities hold a small event that essentially acts as a convention. Great for local nurseries and hobbyists alike. This is what i got for the last event of the year! Philodendron gloriosum 'Leopard', $8. Like a regular gloriosum but spotted! Hoya 'Rebecca', $10. My first PROPER Hoya! Flowers smell lovely, like jasmine. Monstera 'Silver Star', $15 [negotiated $14 coz i was a dollar short XP] Itty bitty baby, i actually went in and told myself, NO MONSTERAS XD. But i couldn't resist this little fella, according to seller it's essentially a more stable 'White Monster' [basically, instead of the variegation fading as the leaf ages like in 'White Monster', 'Silver Star' retains the minty variegation. It differs from 'Full Mint' by the greenish center]. Vanda [Neofinetia] falcata, $30. This was my most expensive buy tday [most of my buys max out at $30 lol], i was torn between this and a nice specimen of Phalaenopsis equestris. But i've wanted to try my hand at a Neofinetia since forever so here we are. No means any of the fancy japanese varieties, but for 4 fans and a few blooms i think it's worth it. Three Drosera, 3 for $10 Sundew sale! 3 Droseras for $10. There were only three species available for sale anyways. The rest were VFTs and an unidentified ping. Although I still need to get a few grow lights, it just ain’t in the budget right now 🤣.. I got the lamp & kitty picture (photo 1) for my birthday on Wednesday from my grandma & I thought they would both look awesome in my plant room. I also have my #NewPlants my mom got me set up on the table with my humidifier since you guys told me Philos & Hoyas like humidity 😏 #PlantCorner Picture two & three are the top of my plant shelf, I have it decorated as of now but that may change if I don’t end up having enough space for my plants 😬 I have my seashells displayed, & other plant related Knick knacks & my mushrooms 🍄 My new mushroom planter is super cute 🥰 a gift from my Boyfriend for my birthday. Photo 4 is over view of my plant corner, with all of my shelves & my storage shelf for my plants tools/fertilizers etc. Lastly I couldn’t finish the post up without a #BloomingSuccs photo. 🤭 Aloe ‘Delta Lights’ is growing a flower I think, yay! It’s put a lot of new growth at the top of the plant since I repotted it into a much bigger pot. I put them on two of my pots & a plant stand using super glue. I really like how they came out & it was fun to fit them together like a puzzle! I decided to put my Gasteraloe ‘D Tiga’ in one & my Haworthia Angustifolia in the other. I also potted my pink Syngonium in a pot with a watering tray so it evenly waters it, & also let it spend some time next to the humidifier today. I love the colors! 🌸 Lastly, I repotted my Speckled Hoya Carnosa & my Black Cardinal Philodendron. The plant shop I primarily order most of my plants from apart from my orchids (growtropicals) had a sale on their queen anthuriums. Do I already have one that I paid way more for? Yes. Did I order one? Yes. £15! 😭 For a 12cm queen anthurium! Look at it! It’s beautiful! It’s majestic! It’s erm… beautiful! I also got a string of turtles that I murdered forever ago (I can’t even remember how) and a tortum that I also had a while ago that got so infested with spidermites that I gave it the trash treatment. Today my grandma had a yard sale, so me & my boyfriend went to help as well as sell some things. We plan to use the money we made for our day trip to Carolina beach tomorrow! 🌊 I’m super excited since we haven’t been to the beach in a while & haven’t gone on a trip this year together. Although it’s not summer anymore and won’t be as warm, which means I most likely won’t be able to get in the water 😞 I’m still happy that I will get to see the water & sand as well as smelling the salt! 🏝️ My grandma was selling these plant stands & since I liked them she gave them to me. ( photos 1&3) she also gave me a pup from her Haworthia since I repotted it for her while I was there. 🌱 I also had a few plants I didn’t sell at the yard sale, so I kept them & repotted them when I got home. I’ve been wanting one for so long! They usually are pretty expensive so that’s why I hadn’t gotten one yet. Online & at local nurseries they go for about 50$ or so. But I found this one at Home Depot for 20$ & it came with a pot! I felt like that was a pretty good steal, & there was only one so it was coming home with me! I went for perlite, & this Home Depot was out too! It also has Echeverias, (3) and a pachyveria of some sort, in the middle not sure which kind.
